"Managed to stop by for coffee on our last day in SLC and wish I had come by sooner! This latte (handshake drugs) was one of the best lattes I’ve had in my life. The espresso was perfect, no bitterness or sourness, just deliciousness. The almond syrup was subtly sweet, the olive oil added a nice essence and creaminess, and the lemon zest brought in a welcome freshness! The 8oz size was the perfect ratio of espresso to milk. It’s clear the folks working here love what they do and it shows in the quality of their drinks. They even made us a s’mores-inspired drink that they are working on for their winter menu, and that one was divine as well! If I’m ever back in SLC, this will be the first place I come back for coffee. The ambiance with the Mediterranean-inspired decor was also so lovely! (Note: please make sure to bring your physical ID as they need to scan it, even if you’re just coming in for coffee! You do not want to miss trying this place out, it’s THAT good.)"

"Incredible coffee, cozy atmosphere & good vibes! We both got the C’mere latte & it was otherworldly. Espresso was perfectly dialed, and the flavor profile of everything together was delicious! The barista was warm & welcoming and there’s a decent amount of seating options if you want to spend some time here. Since this place is a bar in the evening, you’ll still need to show your ID to get in! This will definitely be our new go-to coffee spot & we can’t wait to come back!"

"Mother is such a special spot in SLC. It’s the rare place that feels equally right for a daytime coffee or a night out with friends. The music and sound system create an amazing vibe in the evenings, and during the day the coffee is outstanding. Josh the barista makes some of the best specialty coffee in the city, always creative and delicious. It’s unique, welcoming, and full of heart."

"Mother is one of those spaces you feel good walking into. During the day it’s a café that actually feels grounded and welcoming, and at night it transforms into a venue that genuinely supports music, art, and culture in Utah. The owners/staff are incredibly kind and intentional, and you can feel how much care goes into building real community here. Also as a conscious consumer, I must note: unlike most coffee shops, they use 100 percent safe eco friendly cups with no plastic lining, meaning no microplastics in your drink, which honestly sealed it for me. I won’t be going anywhere else for coffee. Utah needs more places like this, and the name alone says everything."

"What a joy to experience such an intentionally curated spot with good energy and delicious offerings. Josh, the barista, is a beverage wizard. The other owner I've interacted with, Sawyer, is warm and kind. How frequently have you been to a spot and felt an air of exclusivity? Not here. The interior is Moroccan, warm, and inviting. I'm very excited to see what the menu will offer. During the day it is a perfect spot to read or have a coffee date. A must visit."
