from Google"fantastic german deli/market in the heart of downtown SLC. it is a quick-serve, you walk in go to the hot bar to order your food, bring to cashier for payment, then find your own table. there is a decent amount of tables with bar seating all along one side facing the street. the food is delicious and portions are generous for what you pay. we got the schnitzel with sides ($14) of red cabbage, potatoes and spatzle. best schnitzel i’ve had in a long time. kids shared the reuben sandwich ($10) and even though they loved it, was only able to finish half of one sandwich. beyond the hot bar there is a dessert case, deli case, and a market area with lots of imported food items. all contribute to the authentic and gourmet atmosphere of siegfried’s. it has a no-fuss, homey vibe to it. bonus for chocolate lovers: they have the largest selection of ritter sport and milka chocolates i’ve seen in the US!"
"This review is coming from an authentic german... ive lived in Florida, New York , and Utah. This is the best authentic german food you will find in America! After visiting this place for the first time, I left with several bags full of authentic german lunch meats, snacks, and candies that I remembered from my childhood growing up in Fulda Germany! If you are anywhere near this place, do yourself the favor and go get you some german food! Nothing beats a german meal with an authentic german beer!"
"5 stars, we loved our first meal here, can’t believe we didn’t know about it. The spicy goulash over the spätzle was so superb. Definitely coming back for that dish alone. The kraut and fried potatoes were nice, pork steak were a bit thin but had decent flavor, I will try the schnitzel next time."
"This is a wonderful place to eat fantastic deli.Vener schnitzel sausage fried potatoes, sourkraut. The works yum yeah, they had red cabbage, and it was so good.We loved every bit of it."
"I visited these German delicatessens with my friends. We all think dishes are pretty good. We tried a park leg, a steak and a sausage, they were so delicious. The side dish we tried was pickled cabbage and fried potatoes. They are also good too. Service was so nice here. My English is not good, so the staff rules the set menu."
