from Google & Yelp"Record shop and coffee?!? Why not. Walked in music was cool vibes. Love the concept and coffee tasted good. I got an horchata latte and while I’ve had many this one tasted unique. I couldn’t put my finger on it. It tasted good but different. The barista was friendly and explained the drinks. Connects to baby’s bagels so if you’re hungry go get yourself a bagel! Consistency is key And every time i come and get a different drink they are always on point with me saying wow this is good. Flavors are on point. Barista is always 100! Vibes are great!"
"My new favorite coffee shop in SLC area. On the corner of 200 E and 500 S, you'll find this little hip to the hop cafe. Came on a Friday morning and we were greeted with Brazilian funk music. Even at 9am, I found my foot mysteriously tapping to the beat. If you're a fan of vinyls, there's lots here to look through and buy. They even have a section for CD's. I ordered the seasonal Banana Bread Matcha. Loved it. Not super sweet, just right. One of the owners making our order was nice and said to let him know if we had questions. FYI they don't have a large selection of pastries if you're coming here hungry. They have a few tables and couches, but they are affiliated with Baby's Bagels. You can walk right through from Sound Brew to Baby's without exiting the building. The cardamom/mint mocha is super good too. I really like how he emphasizes the coffee with a little sweetness, rather than overshadowing the coffee with TONS of sweetbess. Perfect balance."
"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Coffee, Records, and a Whole Vibe While out on an afternoon walk during our visit to Salt Lake City, we stumbled upon Sound Brew Coffee—and what a gem! This place is part coffee shop, part record store, and the vibe is just cool. The atmosphere inside the record shop is unique and full of character, making it a perfect spot to relax and unwind. I went with a cold brew with a splash of heavy cream and it was absolutely perfect. My wife wanted a decaf option and the barista, Yokchi, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable—offering great suggestions and making the experience feel really personal. We loved the mix of great coffee, chill music, and the creative setting. It’s the kind of place you want to hang out in, read a book, or just disconnect for a bit. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town."
"I really enjoyed their mocha so much. Atmosphere wise it doesn’t get any better than this. You get a coffee shop inside the records store. So you will listen to great songs at the same time. The record store is amazing on its own."
"Funky, eclectic, stylish coffee shop in SLC disguised as a record store. Ambiance is almost indescribable. Each time I go the scene changes: different patrons, different music spinning. Jazz nights on a regular schedule, presumably in the Bohemian music cave downstairs Has quickly become my favorite spot to bring friends to as well as camping out solo to get work done or do some writing. I would say the vibe is conducive to creativity. The drinks are quite good. I've worked my way through most of the menu. Owner's family owns the plantation where the coffee is grown in Guatemala. Pretty unique. Not sure I've heard of that before"
