What People Are Saying
from Google"The Dodo interior is gorgeous and good romantic place to go. It does feel small and parking lot is small too. There is one side is where you can sit eat and other area more like a bar with tv. I did have a hard time finding their restaurants or see their sign. So I did I wish they make a sign much bigger and light up to spot them. The waitress was good and professional. I order chicken spaghetti and Chipotle seafood soup. The seafood soup was delicious and have rights amount of spice. I feel spaghetti was missing a favor to pop up. But it cook right and chicken were tender. I did feel their food cost was very reasonable. I’m glad I got this order because it came with vegetables and soup."
"Wasn't impressed, wasn't bad, but wasn't great, just meh. The artichoke pie tasted like it was microwaved, scorching hot and gummy texture, was unimpressed. Got the Crab Benedict, crab was cold and really wet, made the muffin soggy and eating cold crab w hot eggs wasn't exciting. I was hoping more for a crab cake than cold wet crab, or at least drain and warm the crab up. The potatoes were the best thing lol, they were yummy. The blackened chicken salad was disappointing as well, first there was no dressing on it, had to track down somebody till let them know and they argue with me. Tell me it was and you can clearly see it wasn't, and then the service had the same, But when they borrowed the dressing it was very thick like a Caesar. I would definitely see the dressing on it because after I dressed it myself you can see dressing on it. It just seemed to be lacking something. Either the dressing didn't go right? Maybe they brought me the wrong one. I don't know. It was just not good. The chicken seemed to have a different variation of blackening seasonings that you typically get, anyways, it was pretty boring considering how the delicious it sounded. We decided to skip dessert because of this. They sounded good but overall experience was just okay. I don't like when staff tried to tell me I'm wrong when it's obviously an issue. And you need to teach your servers to check back when people actually eat the food, not after they bring it. I hate that when they drop the dish and then they come back around 30 seconds later. Say how's everything when we haven't even tried and then they disappear and I have to try to track somebody down when there is a problem. He was super kind and friendly but just liked a little bit of service skills. And your manager needs to be checking on your tables, not running food, I used to be a GM and it drives me nuts that you utilize your management as an hourly employee instead of letting them pay attention to what's happening inside of your restaurant. If he would have been touching tables he would be a more in touch with what's happening in your kitchen and with your staff, but no, you instead have a highly paid food runner. If you're trying to make up labor with management, you running your business incorrectly..."
"The Quesadilla appetizer was great! Both sandwiches we ordered were also so good. Then We ended it with the best Pie. The blueberry sour cream. It was Excellent!! Server was so nice ans provided great service. Dodo is a staple to the Sugarhouse community!"
"We decided to visit Salt Lake for our vacation. After travel the city, we say this location across the street from this popular park, Sugar House Park. The place has a Italian vibe but hip. We sat on the patio. The night was breezy and comfortable. The hummus was great. The pork tenderloin is a staple item on the menu. The Sugarhouse Old Fashion is another excellent choice if you are looking for a cocktail."
"I’m not super hyped about Dodo. Took a while to get a seat, but we did have a big group. Food was average, nothing special. Most people in the group made comments about things tasting just ok, so it wasn’t just me. We had tres leches cake and it was really dry. Not a ton of people were in the restaurant but it was surprisingly loud. They do have lots of parking, so that was nice."
