"9/20/25: Stopped in as a recommendation from someone in NY. Didn't know they had a location in Alexandria until our conversation. Let's start with the food. Pricey, but excellent. The coffees were perfect. Ordered a large cold pumpkin spice chai, freaking incredible. Ordered an Americano. Didn't except anything crazy however they didn't have that bite to it that most coffees do. Or maybe that's just Starbucks. Anyway sugar, lids and honey are on a counter but half and half/milk etc is not. Ordered the "Manhasset" egg sandwich, very good. Came with a nice little salad in the place. It was appx $20.00 for the sandwich. Coffees were around $6.95 each. I'm now up to $30.00 for a sandwich and two coffees. Oh, they have these gooey moist puffy cookies. If you buy nothing else, get the cookie ($7.00) and a coffee. So now I'm up to $40.00 not including tip. Atmosphere: Modern and metropolitan, which I would expect from a location derived from NY. I adored the black and white tile. This is the same tile in my family's upstairs bathroom, built in 1910 Queens. So it felt like a little sense of home. Because of work, I live in Alexandria. There are several comfy leather chairs, tables and chairs. The text on the wall was nice to read and shows you where their head is at. There is also outside seating. At first I thought the people on the walls were hand painted then realized it's custom wallpaper. Really nice touch, down to the pigeon on the trash can (NYC's state bird) and the Jewish couple which is symbolic of Williamsburg, people in the park, and families. The cafe is next to an office building? Outside there is a fountain, trees and greenery. Location: within walking distance of the Amtrak station and downtown Alexandria/King Street. Street parking is difficult but there are two public parking garages very close. I found a spot on the street so couldn't tell you the cost of garage parking. Service: The staff could be a more welcoming instead of not smiling at all. Literally, no smile or welcome. Is that policy? They bring your dish to you, instead of having to pick it up from the counter. Overall a nice location, never knew it was here because it's not on King Street and it's off the beaten path of downtown Alexandria. It was very comfortable here. Didn't feel rushed, could easily sit here and work or read."

"Very luxurious coffee shop! The lighting, the coffee, and especially the food. I got the Breakfast Burrito and my girlfriend got the yogurt bowl. Her bowl was okay but the burrito was knock your socks off good!!! Coffee was okay but the stellar food presentation and taste made up for it!"

"Best high end gourmet cafe I have ever tried…! They should be ranked in 5 star gourmet cafe. Extremely pleased with the food quality which I always look for when I want to eat outside. I have been here few times and did my pick up order today. Great service too and cute cafe to sit and enjoy inside. Right across King St. Metro station too!"

"I am not sure why this place only has 4.0 stars, food was amazing! Yes, a little expensive for breakfast ($45 for two people), but the quality and taste of the food was all around a great combination. Lots of bakery items made fresh and in-house. If you are in the area, I highly recommend and this place is a must try when in Old Alexandria. Want cheap food? Go somewhere else. Want good tasting food, look no further. Oh yes, the coffee was fantastic also! Only negative, barista/cashier was not very friendly. Seemed to be bothered when you had questions."

"The coffee was great and the baked good...oh, my, goodness!!! So good, so fresh, so moist. MOIIIIIST! I said it. Service was polite and professional. Prices are a little high, but you get what you pay for. This stuff is quality!"

"Really good coffee!! I just got a latte but it was quality. The drawbrack was definitely the price. I got a basic unflavored latte and it was $9. Also it..."
