"A colleague of mine wants to move to North Old Town from McLean. You probably are asking why? Perhaps it’s the retired senior with dogs vibe. It might also be the safe place for same sex couples area. This coffee place appears to be a destination cafe in the middle of the mix. Everyone that walked in was fit and trim. Do they all work out? Some in uniform, so I assume there is a military workforce nearby too. The cafe has decent coffee. Plenty of coffee add-Ins and all self service, so add as much sugar as you want and really nice staff. The staff are exactly what makes the place so comfortable. ST Elmo’s is the anti-Starbucks. Come and people watch, listen to the music, sit on the outside patio, or just grab and go. Just don’t order the breakfast burrito. Not good. Too hot. But the atmosphere makes the place a local destination for a quick break or meeting with a coffee."

"Ordered two lattes, a cheese danish, and a bacon and Brie croissant. The croissant was extremely hot and underwhelming - could have used something sweet like honey to cut the taste. Everything else was okay."

"I loved my hot chocolate and apple danish! ( No I did NOT wait for it to cool. I burned my tongue- Worth it! ) The goods came fast and the staff is polite and friendly! The place is cozy and open. Seemed a nice place to chill. Very calm. My apple danish was delish! Next time I will try to heat it up instead of devouring it in the car!"

"My favorite coffee lounge. Beautiful cafe to dine in with friends, read, or work from your laptop. I usually grab Mocha with oat milk, and work on my laptop. They have sitting and standing tables. The servers are so friendly."

"This place has the best coffee in town. The coffee taste like coffee, not like syrup like Starbucks. It is well-made. The ingredients are simple. A coffee is strong and delicious. This will be the only coffee shop I will visit while I am in the area. Customer service is excellent and friendly employees. They are very knowledgeable about coffee and I wish them all the best."
