What People Are Saying
from Google"I arrived 5:50 on a Saturday afternoon. Made my order the cashier waa patient and knew the menu well and gave me the option of ordering by the piece pr combo. I ordered two chicken legs, shrimp, fries and yams. Everything was served reasonably fast and hot. Everything tasted great. The chicken was juicy the shrimp was bigger than pop corn, size. The yams tasted like homemade. The mac and cheese also tasted homemade with the cheese melted together with a little crust on it. There were a generous portion of fries Un salted. You have the choice of salt, ketchup and some other sauces. There are window seats if you are alone. There are a 6 tables that seat 4 and one large table that could seat as many as 10 people. However your timing has to be right. There is ONE toddler/baby seat. Bathrooms are locked and require a combination and are relatively clean. They are two and they are gender Everything and are handicapped accessible. Look at attached picture. Parking is free mostly on one side however you can park on otherside but it could also be considered bank parking. You can get food togo and not be disappointed. There is a multi ethnic clientele. Both young, old ,black, white, Hispanic and some Asian who all come here to pick up food to take home. They've cheesecake and banna pudding and I think it's called empanada. Some of the best sweet tea around...cross between McDonald's and Chick fil A sweet. If you are trying to decide between here or Popeyes Tea,or lemonade this is better in my opinion. Mild chicken is great here."
"I’ve been to Uncle C’s Chicken & Waffles three times, and honestly, I’m not a fan. Yes, they serve halal chicken, the menu looks good, and the sides like candied yams are tasty. But the overall experience is frustrating. And it’s not like this place is cheap. • The staff don’t explain the menu well. If you don’t ask specific questions, you’ll likely end up paying more than you expected. • When ordering chicken, you need to spell out exactly which pieces you want. Otherwise, they’ll give you the tenders instead of regular legs or thighs. Also, they don’t serve fried chicken breast. • Don’t bother coming an hour before closing. The staff are focused on cleaning and won’t make fresh chicken that late. The food itself is decent, but between the lack of clarity, the pricing issues, and the poor service, it’s just not worth it. I won’t be back."
"Fried chicken was mediocre in my opinion but kids really enjoyed waffles and chicken nuggets. Fish was good as well."
"I ordered the 3-piece chicken dinner with mac & cheese, candied yams, and banana pudding. The chicken was okay, but I honestly would’ve preferred Popeyes. The mac & cheese had an odd flavor and no consistency, and the yams—though they had the best flavor, were dry and overcooked, with most of the sweetness sitting at the bottom of the tray. The banana pudding looked good but had no flavor at all. The food was visually appealing, the staff was friendly and professional, and the restaurant was clean with a nice atmosphere. But for $25.40, it just didn’t taste like true Southern food."
"Food was amazing 🤩 Waffle was a little cold when the whole order was completed but chicken was hot. Chicken sandwich was fantastic as well"
