"Coffee Shop No. 428 Turkish Coffee Truck - Ballaston Arlington, VA October 6, 2024 A cortado is my favorite coffee drink, but a close second is Turkish coffee. I enjoy the strong coffee flavor and the unfiltered grounds waiting for you at the bottom of the cup don’t bother me much; so when I learned about the Turkish Coffee Truck in Arlington I knew I had to visit. Plus, their red little truck and their lounge furniture the owner puts out for customers to sit at really peaked my interest. Issa is the owner. His young daughter took my order. Her customer service and friendliness was fantastic for being so young. I was definitely impressed. When Issa brought me my order I figured out quickly where his daughter got her skills. He was equally attentive and friendly. He was busy, but still took the time to answer a question about the dessert I ordered. After receiving my Turkish coffee I settled back on the bench and did my two of my favorite things; people watch and sip on my cortado while basking in the sun. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!"

"How often do you get to enjoy the feeling of serendipity? Stumbling upon Isa’s Turkish coffee cart in the middle of a beautifully sunny Saturday, sitting on stools by the street right by his bright red truck with wings, and enjoying his splendid fresh Turkish coffee and magnetic attitude is as close to serendipity as you will ever find in Ballston. Everything was simple and enjoyable. His hospitality was unmatched, and worth a visit alone, but the great coffee and atmosphere is a wonderful bonus. Isa is also a great videographer, so if you’re lucky, you might be leaving with a great candid video of yourself in the sun. Thanks again Isa, looking forward to coming back!"

"How have I not written a review yet? Isa’s coffee truck is a true gem in the DMV. The near mythical authentic ‘third space’ that so many soulless chains try to imitate. The first time I came here I brought a book planning to read for a couple hours before going about my day. The community is so kind, friendly, and interesting that I read *maybe* 5 pages and stayed for nearly 6 hours talking. It’s all thanks to the truck’s owner, Isa, who builds a sense of community, takes a genuine interest in getting to know you, and introduces you to the rest of the circle. Coming here has *genuinely* played a huge role in reducing the anxiety that often comes from living in the DMV. It’s all because no one drinks coffee alone here. And of course, that’s to say nothing about his drinks (and food!), his Turkish coffee is incredible, his mocha (and calling it a mocha is like describing the sun as a “light”) is phenomenal, and his rotating list of experiments (currently, an iced tea) have never disappointed. That said, the coffee is a (delightful) excuse, stay for the conversation."
