The staff is friendly and efficient, and there’s always a welcoming, small-town energy. It’s usually busy, which is great to see for the town and shows how much the community supports this place. You’ll also notice a lot of bikers frequenting the shop, which adds to its local charm and character. The location—right next to the feed store—gives it a very Ashland-specific, hometown feel. That said, the crowds can make it a bit challenging if you’re hoping for a quick or relaxed visit. While there is some parallel parking, it’s limited. There’s also a small town hall lot and a very small parking area right next to the shop with only a few spots. Depending on where you park, you often have to cross a busy street to get inside, which can be inconvenient when you’re just trying to grab a coffee. Inside, the space is almost always cramped, and the atmosphere tends to feel rushed rather than cozy. Despite the “books” aspect of the shop, it’s rarely a place where you can comfortably sit and linger. Still, the staff does a great job keeping things moving, and the service remains good even during peak times. I continue to come back because the coffee is truly good and consistently delivered. While the atmosphere and accessibility aren’t ideal for a leisurely experience, the quality of the drinks and service make it worth returning—just not for hanging out. We love to see a town business thriving though."

"Absolutely enchanting! They have a nice mix of classic coffee drinks and fun, new seasonal options. Nice selection of baked goods. Staff was welcoming and memorable. So much more room inside than you'd think. Large room in front and an event bigger space in the back. And lots of books to choose from. Can't imagine a better way to spend a morning!"

"I had family in town (Richmond) from Pennsylvania and they hadn’t seen Ashland yet. We stopped in this adorable coffee shop! Extensive selection of flavorful coffee drinks and teas! Also, extensive selection of books! Very neat little place! We took a stroll along the railroad. It was a great afternoon!"
