from Google"Great coffee shop with an impressive menu. I was surprised to see Pan de Bono. I ordered two and they incredible! You can tell they were fresh. Coffee was great. I had a cortado while I worked and later took a latte to go. Great place to sit down and get work done."
"Cute cafe. Good vibe. Staff is kind and polite. They served tasty drinks though a bit pricey for the area. Some of the pastry is good... I'm just not a fan of items in coolers so I usually just stick to my cortado. When the weather is nice, sit outside."
"1971 is a quaint coffee shop in a handy location. It plays soft jazz and has ample seating. A good selection of coffees an teas that compliment their bakery goods. Had a cappuccino and a caramel frappuccino. They were good but expensive for the serving size. Overall, a nice place to have a cup. #MeetMrOwl #OwlsTweet #BirdLife #worldtraveler #traveler #coffeeislife"
"Visited on a weekday morning in December and it was nicely decorated for the holidays. Excellent pistachio latte with good food. Parking in the back. Would visit again next time in Haymarket."
"My husband and I stumbled on this coffee shop on Friday and were not disappointed. The shop itself is beautifully decorated and inviting. The aesthetic makes you feel like you’re in the 50’s, 60’s, or 70’s in Europe. Our barista, Sam, was a pleasure to interact with and answered all of our questions about their offerings. We tried their cinnamon latté, drip coffee, and a thousand miles pastry which were all phenomenal. The latté art (a teddy bear) in my drink was very cute and detailed. What I loved about the cinnamon latté was the caramel and nuts on the outside of the cup that created a unique tasting experience for me as a customer. The espresso itself was very light and didn’t upset my head or stomach, which was a welcome change from my previous coffee drinking experiences. As we wrapped up, we chatted with Sam again, who was nothing short of kind, friendly, and warm. We will definitely be coming back to try more drinks and some of their sandwiches. There’s plenty to choose from as far as their menu goes. The hard part is just picking one thing to eat. 🥲 So glad we found this hidden gem. It’s not a matter of if we will be back, but when!"
