"Not going to lie, food was good. However, the gentleman cooking/serving seemed a little distracted. First sub was made with the wrong meat, I ordered chicken, he cooked steak. No worries, he remade my sandwich. The 2nd time he forgot the banana peppers and mayo. I also didn't taste much seasoning on the meat but the sandwich had flavor. I was a little suspect because the chicken wasn't frozen and dripping when he placed it on the griddle but I smelled it and ate half, so far, so good. Cheese was $2 extra for provolone and to make sure there was a good ratio of meat to bread, I ordered extra meat, an extra $4. The extra $4 wasn't worth it. I asked for my bread to be toasted, it was. The food was cooked to order and piping hot; bread was fresh. The fries were not my favorite but they were cooked hard like I asked and crispy. Portion of food was great. The music was classic R &B and the lobby was clean."

"Cafe Taylor is hands down a must-visit in the Newport News area! The HONEY HOT wings are absolutely incredible seriously some of the best I’ve ever had. The fries were amazing too, perfectly cooked and flavorful. If I had one tiny suggestion, maybe a bit more cheese on the Philly (or maybe that’s just my personal taste), but it was delicious nonetheless. My husband and I will definitely be back! A huge thank you to the owner for being so kind and making everything fresh it really made the experience wonderful. Seriously, those wings… wow!"
