"I had ordered a Bloody Mary kit online so planned to visit Santa’s Cocktail Shop when I picked it up. We arrived around 3:30. It was busy and all the tables were full but we got super lucky and everything worked out perfectly. The bar does not take orders. You have to get a table. There is no host and tables are first come first served. There are several sitting areas…a very small area inside where the bar is, lots of seating on their patio, and another super cute room that is a pretty good size. Tables have QR codes and you order and pay through that. A server brings your drinks. As I said, we got lucky and scored a table in the bigger, festive room. There were four of us and we kinda spread out and waited for someone to leave…and about when I walked in I saw a group packing up. It’s a little awkward bc you don’t want to hover, but you gotta be close enough to stake your claim, too bc others are also wandering around looking for tables. Then you have to sit at a dirty table that has lots of water cups and empty glasses on it. Someone did come pretty quickly and remove them, but the table was not wiped up. We got and wet napkins at the water station and did this ourselves. This in no way dampened our experience, just including so you know what to expect when you go…..and you should go. The atmosphere is great, the drinks are AMAZING, and the service was actually pretty good considering their setup and the crowd. It’s decorated so cute for Xmas and they play holiday classics on a big screen. There is a holiday cocktail menu and a regular cocktail menu. Our table ordered the No Corn Star, the Yule Tide Tini, the 19th Hole, and the Snow Globe. Everyone enjoyed their drink very much. I had the No Corn Star and it was fabulous! I’d order it again for sure. Drinks came out fast, too. We were on a bar hop so just stayed for the one round but I definitely want to go back and try some other drinks."

"I don't drink, but the others seemed to be enjoying the drink and the food. What I really want to comment on is the setting. The WPA-era Richmond City Stables is absolutely at the top of the city's landmark structures. Sitting in the stone courtyard will make your mind drift back and ruminate on what life was like in earlier times. Being surrounded by bricks and cobblestone is stunning. The worst that can be said of it is that the parking in Scott's Addition is impossible. Prepare to creep through the narrow streets hunting for a place or find another way to get there. The effort is worth it, even if you don't drink."

"New location in Scott’s Addition. Excellent cocktails with interesting mixtures. A whole bunch of different kinds of martinis from traditional to non-traditional, beautiful setting and strong drinks. That is the good the bad is. It’s very hard to get a table and you can only order a drink if you have a table because you have to use the QR code The other bad is it took 20 minutes after ordering to get a drink. It even took longer for my friends to get their tricks. Yes, it’s a new place and they have to figure out their kinks."

"We went for family and friends and were so impressed on the charming space, friendly staff and especially the quality of the cocktails. Was so comfortable and clean with both outdoor and indoor seating. We ordered the “So Fresh and So Clean” and the “Jala-Piña Rita”. They were both so refreshing and well made. Cant wait to get back !"
