What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"We really wanted to like Early Bird Biscuit Co., but the experience just didn’t live up to the hype. Once inside, it was slightly busy and there was nowhere to stand and wait for food without being in the way. The space is tiny, chaotic, and confusing for a first-time customer. We had no idea where to order, and when we hesitated, a lady with purple hair just rolled her eyes and offered no direction before walking away. Not exactly welcoming. The prices were shocking. One sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit was $9. Pastries were also expensive. For $36 (with a tip that was prompted), we only got two biscuits and two small pastries. That’s a lot for what we received. Unfortunately, the food didn’t justify the cost. The biscuit was huge (around 5x5), which is a plus, and it had a nice buttery flavor. But it was very dry. The sausage was the real issue. It had so much gristle that it was hard to eat. It honestly ruined the sandwich. The pastries were overpriced and very average. The Ube White Chocolate crescent was extremely dry, like a sponge, with just one thin hard line of white chocolate inside. The Ube éclair wasn’t even an éclair. It looked like a small dense donut cut in half with some filling poured in the middle. The filling had a great flavor, but for the price, it was underwhelming. Outside of the cashier, who was pleasant, the rest of the customer facing staff didn't seem friendly at all. They made us feel like an inconvenience just for being there. The one real positive is that the biscuits are massive. If you enjoy them and can get past the gristly sausage, it’s definitely a full meal. Overall, between the high prices, dry food, unfriendliness we will find another spot to find the best biscuit in town."
"Loved their biscuits! Freshly made in house from scratch. They even grate butter right at the counter for Baking. Everything tastes so good! The line can be long and it can be a bit tight inside if you're there during "high" traffic time, but people are genuinely nice, patient, and the workers are efficient so the line moves pretty quickly. Will definitely return!"
"It was our first time here and it didn’t disappoint. We had the ham biscuit, and bacon and pimento cheese biscuit. The biscuits are large, flaky and delicious. Each biscuit was very good. We also had two cappuccinos. Everything was delicious. The service prompt and friendly. The place is quaint and I wish it had more seating."
"Where was the flavor? It wasn’t in the biscuit or the fried chicken sandwiched between. I, however, found it in the pickles. They were the only part that actually tasted good. The texture of the biscuit wasn’t bad, but it hardly tasted of anything. And the chicken seemed like it was pulled out of a bag of frozen Tyson fried chicken. The presentation of the restaurant is cute and interesting, but what would Paul Hollywood say?: “It’s got to taste good too.”"
"A Road Trip Breakfast Worth Stopping For While on a road trip to New York, we made a breakfast stop at Early Bird Biscuit Co., and it did not disappoint. The biscuits are absolutely delicious, and the **lattes hit the spot—the perfect start to a long drive. The space has a cool, cozy vibe, but seating is limited, so if you manage to snag a spot, consider yourself lucky. The staff was friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall great experience. Heads up on parking—it's street parking only, so pay close attention to the signs unless you want a ticket. Also, there’s no public bathroom, but you can head across the street to the hospital if needed. If you’re in the area, this spot is definitely worth a visit. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or lingering over coffee, Early Bird Biscuit Co. is a solid choice for a great start to the day!"
