"We were spending the night in the area and walked over for a morning coffee and maybe a pastry. It's a cute little shop right on the corner with a few indoor seats and a few outdoor seats. We ended up with a large coffee, which was good, and 2 fruit flavored refreshers, which were both good. I had to try the coffee cake, it tasted as good as it looked and was a huge piece. They had several other pastry and sweet options as well. The server was polite and quick with our drinks. If I was in the area I'd stop in again."

"This place was so good! Exploring Richmond and I stopped in to try them out - everything was wonderful. The staff were so welcoming and the food is spectacular. The cookies are AMAZING, I love a soft cookie! Ignore the negative reviews, people are down voting because they ordered something that wasn't their preferred style of cookie. I got a peach mango refresher as well, which was so delicious and fresh! I will absolutely have to come back here and try more of their food!"

"I haven't visited their store location, but my husband and I ordered our wedding cake from here (my mom got us the tasting kit and she said the bakery itself was cute). We ordered a cake with lemon and lavender flavored layer and honey buttercream frosting. It was the most amazing cake I've ever had and I fear I'll never taste a cake that good again. I'm so sad there weren't more leftovers for us to take home because everyone loved it! Our cake was $400 in total and the baker provided the flowers, which was a major plus for us since we weren't sure which flowers were food safe."

"I absolutely love The Honey Baked Bee! Years ago, I lived just a few blocks from here and can’t help but wish they were around back then — I would’ve been a regular! I had the sun-dried tomato and feta quiche, and it was perfect in every way possible — buttery, flavorful, and baked to perfection. And the coffee… wow. I learned what pandan was for the first time and ordered the Pandan’s Passion coffee — honestly, life-changing! Smooth, aromatic, and unlike anything I’ve had before. The ladies working behind the counter were absolutely lovely — warm, welcoming, and clearly proud of what they do. Their kindness made the whole experience even better. I grabbed my delicious delights and walked just a couple blocks to Libby Hill Park, where I enjoyed them with one of Richmond’s most beautiful views. The whole experience was pure joy — great food, amazing coffee, and wonderful people. If you’re anywhere near Richmond, do yourself a favor and go."

The folks inside were so friendly they even suggested another local spot for a burger. But something about the place drew me back… and I’m so glad it did. On my return trip, I grabbed a coffee and one of their Honey Baked chocolate chip cookies — fresh out of the oven and absolutely divine. The perfect balance of flavors: warm, gooey chocolate, a light touch of honey, and just the right amount of chocolate sweetness. It tasted like something straight from heaven. After that first bite, I knew I was in trouble. I bought a few more for my kids, but if I’m honest, it took every bit of willpower not to “sample” another one on the way. The people running this shop are every bit as sweet as their pastries — kind, polite, and genuinely proud of what they do. It’s no wonder everyone seems to love this place. If you find yourself anywhere near Richmond, do yourself a favor and stop by The Honey Baked Bee.
