from Google & Yelp"The cappuccino I purchased today was highly disappointing. It did not meet the expected Ironclad quality, tasting predominantly like warm milk. Furthermore, it's concerning that past customer reviews raising similar issues appear to be unacknowledged."
"This is so bad , and $15 dollars for this dry croissant and nasty coffee. The coffee wasn't even warm, the croissant turns to dust when you bite it and the person who works at the register isn't nice. Doesn't look like a human anymore, its dangerous for her life to work in food industry There were also flies everywhere, this place is disgusting"
"You order via a kiosk which forces you to tip over 18% with no custom options. They also charge an additional 6% tax on top of the normal sales tax. After all of that they didn’t have a breakfast sandwich I had ordered and already paid for. I asked if I would get a refund. The lady said she would have to get her manager who was nowhere in site and I’m late for a flight. She offered a “butter croissant” which turned out to be a pre-cut croissant they usually use for for sandwiches they were out of… no butter lol. Went to put cream in my coffee and it had floaters in it… threw it all away and went to the gate. Just a $15 learning experience…but frustrating. Go anywhere else."
"Let me start by saying the customer service here is excellent! That’s a rare and refreshing experience for airport staff, and I want the team to be recognized for their friendliness and professionalism. Unfortunately, the coffee itself is at the opposite end of the scale. Since this is the only coffee option at my JetBlue gate, I’ve tried different espresso drinks on multiple visits hoping to find one that tastes right. Each time I’ve been disappointed. • Cortado (this visit): Tasted like weak drip coffee with too much milk, not the balanced espresso-forward drink it should be. • Cappuccino (last visit): Same issue—flat, watery, lacking the richness and punch of proper espresso. It seems like the beans, the machine, or both need attention. At airport prices, I don’t mind paying more if the quality is good—but when the product falls below even “meh,” it feels like being ripped off. Ironclad team, please do better. I want to continue buying your coffee, I really do—but only if it actually tastes like coffee."
"I travel for work and fly in and out of Richmond almost every week. I usually avoid ironclad due to previous experiences. But today there was no one in line and I really needed a cup of coffee. Glad they put in the ordering screens because the two people that were there (noticed that I didn’t say working) seemed uninterested in taking my order. After placing my order for one small cup of brewed coffee. I waited until they noticed that there was an order. One person goes to pour my coffee and both carafes were empty. I know this was not going to end well. You guessed it she pours the beginning of the brew on top of what she got before it ran dry. She hands me the coffee and I opened it to add cream and sugar and there is coffee grinds floating on the top, like chucks of coffee not a ground or two. Come on it’s a freaking cup of coffee. So I handed it back and told the person that I would wait until the pot was done. She comes back not even 30 seconds later. Same cup same coffee. Needless to say I still need a cup of coffee. Come on RIC and Ironclad. Bring in a Dunkin hell I would even take a much dreaded Starbucks !!!"
