from Google"Great vibe, great service, great food. Enjoyed sushi and sake, both top notch and creative. Menu was filled with options I can't wait to get back and try."
"I was recently in town for the first time with my family and we decided we needed some sushi so Sticky Rice was our place to go. This place has a relatively nice atmosphere but more run of the mill and not necessarily trying to impress. We got in right away because there weren't many people dining in at the time but after being seated the service was nearly non existent. We finally got to put in our order after waiting 15 minutes and then getting up to go to the kitchen to find our server. After food arrived we then had to wait for our silverware for another 5 minutes. Once we got eating we then realized we didn't have napkins so after waiting another 5 minutes to get our servers attention I just got up and went to the bar to grab them myself. There were no visits to see how the food was after we got it and once we were done of course there was another long wait to get the bill. The food was good but it was completely overshadowed by the terrible lack of service. It felt like the server was either uninterested in his position or had total lack of knowledge on what a server needs to do. On a plus side he was friendly when we did get to interact. Go here for the food but you may be disappointed by the service received."
"My friends and I were visiting from NOVA this weekend and decided to stop here for lunch. We ordered the spicy salmon roll, curry fried rice, and the coconut shrimp bowl. The spicy salmon roll was mostly cucumber and rice, not much salmon. The curry fried rice was good, but the coconut shrimp bowl was lacking. It was mostly filled with undercooked vegetables and barely had any noodles or shrimp (see video). When we told the server, we weren’t met with an apology or any attempt to fix it. Instead, we were told that extra noodles or shrimp would cost more. As teenagers, we weren’t sure if we were being taken seriously or not, but either way, the service was dismissive and not what we’re used to. Back home, if food comes out poorly, it’s corrected. This was one of the worst customer service experiences i’ve had, and it left a bad impression of Richmond overall. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this felt important to share."
"Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Individual non-gendered bathrooms, but they are down steep stairs in case you have mobility issues. Also they have fun specials like $1 PBRs when it’s raining. Love it!"
"Their mock Szechuan chicken with udon noodles is unreal. We have gone here so many times and it never ceases to be one of the best places I’ve eaten. Staff is so helpful, and kind and inclusive. The music and atmosphere is incredible. Kiddos eat free on Thursdays!!! So damn good. You won’t regret it"
