What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Love this place for it's daily specials; especially the salmon special on Friday. On that subject, the seafood here is always fresh and tastes accordingly. The service is great, efficient, and staff is always looking to help where they can. Selection here is on point and things are pretty moderately priced. Lastly, if you don't find what you need here, it's located right across the street from Publix and Elwood Thompson's, and the next block over from Kroger. I've been shopping here for years and will continue to!"
"This is a premium grocery chain with a large butcher counter, a bakery, bulk coffees, bulk chocolates and candies and nuts, and a large cheese counter. Their produce is beautiful too. Staff is friendly and helpful. Prices seem high unless you get on their loyalty program and take advantage of sales. The store is always clean and well stocked."
"The only store in Richmond where you can get fresh produce lately. It’s an extra $1-$2 per item when compared to Publix or Kroger but absolutely worth it for fresh produce. The bakery is excellent as well, the meats are great on Sundays and Tuesdays when they run promotions."
"The cashier was extremely friendly and professional. It was my 1st time shopping here. Prices were high but service was great"
"I really like this chain of grocery stores and can always find great food options. There is a smell at this store, I think it might be wet cardboard, I'm not sure. But it is a distinct, bad odor when I walk in the door that I wish they would address. Otherwise, the food options are great, good and fresh produce, great service, and an overall good experience. Update: I've been back to this store a few times recently and noticed that the offensive odor I previously noticed has mostly resolved. I feel confident that the smell was wet/damp cardboard, and it is only slightly noticeable towards the back of the produce section, but is absent upon entry to the store now. The entry area actually smells very good now."
"If a recipe has items that are not located at your local grocery store; go to Ellwood Thompson. I tried a vegan recipe called No-piggy sausage. Could not..."
