"Out of a 3 day trip, we ate here twice. The food was so delicious and don’t forget to get dessert- one chocolate cake slice was enough for two! Other dinner items we enjoyed: the salmon, clam chowder, spaghetti and meatballs, burger, and the eggplant pasta dish."

"Not sure where to begin — in a time when an average meal costs $12–$16 and most chain restaurants serve the same frozen, prefab burgers, Hill Café is a refreshing reminder of what real food tastes like. The burger I had was cooked to absolute perfection — juicy, flavorful, and clearly made fresh, not pulled from a freezer. Every bite was mouthwatering. The toppings were just as impressive — crisp lettuce, fresh onion, and a tomato so good I’d swear it came straight from the farm in Hanover, Va The entire experience was excellent from start to finish. The staff was polite, friendly, and attentive. I can see why all the locals keep coming for more. The overall experience was something you just don’t get at chain spots anymore. If I find myself working in Richmond again, I’ll definitely be returning. Not to mention I will also be bringing my wife on an over due date night sooner than later. Hill Café has earned a solid spot on my list of favorite local gems."
