"I have celiac disease and avoided this place for over a year in spite of their clever marketing, thinking a bakery surely couldn’t accommodate me. I WAS SO WRONG! While their GF desserts are limited their cafe menu has LOTS of gluten free and vegetarian options and the staff are trained and knowledgeable on celiac needs. Had one of the BEST sandwiches I’ve had since my diagnosis - turkey pesto! The rice and beans are amazing as a main or a side. Evie’s is a Roanoke treasure, cannot be missed!"

"Delicious food, Alissa our server was awesome, cheesecake fabulous. Everything was great-except the sign on the door: “ICE is not welcome here.” Really? We all have our opinions and political leaning. Why deny hard working people who you happen to believe are doing something wrong the opportunity for a good meal? Good grief!"

"Food is great. Desserts are amazing. But the service has started lacking considerably. Went in for dinner. Were immediately greeted and given waters and told we had to wait for our server to order cocktails. Waited ten minutes for Kachina who was talking with other staff to get our drink order. Waited another ten after she brought our drinks before she came back to get food order. Felt like we were interrupting social hour. Seems to be a recurring theme. Very disappointing from a small business that used to make their customers a priority. Miss Megan and Amanda."

"This was a planned trip to Roanoke to celebrate my birthday with special friends. I called and made reservations to make sure that we would have a table. It was a pleasant experience and the reservation was taken easily. Upon arrival we were greeted immediately and seated. On this hot summer July day, the temperature inside was perfect. The table was set for 6 people and orders were taken for beverages. Service was above and beyond today and I just cannot say enough good things about the food. Everyone’s order was delivered at the same time and was freshly prepared. The best thing about the meal, at least to me, was the Coconut Cake. Just WOW! I love Coconut Cake and only get it once a year on my birthday. This one will be hard to top! Thank you Evie’s for providing the place for special memories to be made today!!"

"We eaten here many times, usually for lunch and it never disappoints. Great selection of sandwiches and salads plus many other items. The desserts are always delicious also! We always get birthday cakes from here! The coconut cake is phenomenal!!🍰🧁🍥🎂🥮"
