What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Great spot in Roanoke. Always busy but I don’t mind that as much. We love Food Truck and Tunes on Friday nights. Little known fact about Sweet Donkey is that they make the best waffles on the planet. I wish their coffee was better (fresh, single origin….which they have sometimes through Counter Culture)…maybe start brewing a local roaster?"
"If you haven't visited this coffee shop yet, what are you even doing?? This place is the best for just enjoying a drink, inside or outside. I've worked remotely from here as well no problem they have tons of seating upstairs and outside. Sometimes I've seen them have event days where they host some vendors or a food truck. Love love love the Sweet Donkey and will always support them, the staff is always cheerful and so kind and just seem generally happy to be here so I hope they're paid a fair wage."
"Good coffee. Ok atmosphere, I did feel a little too close to other tables. Staff was really nice. Wished they had later hours, closing at 7pm was a bit early for my liking. Didn't try the food, none of the baked goods on display were labeled but looked delicious"
"Great food and drinks. The only thing is not a lot of parking"
"I’ve lived in London, New York City, and Los Angeles- this coffee house is my favorite. While visiting my dad in Roanoke for the last two weeks, I’ve spent every morning at this cafe. It is fantastic. The baristas seem chill and friendly. Try a hot latte with orange silk."
"Welcoming, friendly, inclusive coffeehouse vibes. What your mainstream shops wish they could be. Adorable rooms and spots for sitting give that private..."
