"I had the occasion to eat at Tulu’s twice during my stay. The atmosphere was very nice beautifully decorated restaurant. My server, Victoria Daniels at lunch on my last day was particularly helpful making wonderful suggestions about the menu. When a menu item wasn’t quite to my standards she quickly swapped it out with a very good substitute. She was quick and professional and provided excellent service. Victoria was very attentive, making sure that I had everything that I needed and was apologetic For the dish, however it was just not my taste. There was nothing wrong with it. I’m writing this review because it is very difficult to find Great employees that provide excellent customer service in the standard that I received. I never want that to go unnoticed and I am happy to give my review. I hope this is the standard at not only to lose, but the oceanfront Marriott as well."

"The ambiance is trendy casual. The view to the ocean is breathtaking. It's fall so there's an overcast and bit chilly but you have access to the patio and lawn that has plenty of lounge chairs to just enjoy the view and take in the ocean breeze. I had a reservation but first time here so GPS took me to an area right behind thd Cavalier. My reservation was at 11am, didn't realize at 11:30am the turnover to lunch menu. I was fine with that of course, instead of ordering the watermelon drink, I ordered the watermelon and tomato salad. I also ordered a cup of thd chicken curry and brown rice soup. The server Sara was nice and friendly. She even explained it will take 15 minutes to serve my order due to service turnover, and asked if I want to have a muffin of something while I waited. The food: mixed reviews here!!! The watermelon and tomato salad was def a 2. The watermelon was definitely overripe, didn't taste as freshly cut, it's like cut watermelon sitting in the fridge for a couple of days! And the salad was swimming in dressing which overpowered and made the arugula soggy! The redeeming item was the chicken coconut curry soup with brown rice. There was a good portion of chicken, just right amount of curry, very satisfying."

"Nice spot with decent food. I got the Bouillabaisse and it was delicious. My dining partners got the crab cakes, they were good but very small and quite expensive. Drinks were very good and the decor beachy comfortable and fun. Service was excellent. Prices are typically high as most in-hotel restaurants are, but not excessive - apart from the crab cakes."

"We had a wonderful experience thanks to our waitress, Maria. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional throughout our meal. She made sure everything was perfect and truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Her warm attitude and excellent service really stood out. Highly recommend ask for Maria if you can! :)"

"Tulu’s is a great spot in Virginia Beach with an awesome atmosphere. The food and drinks are delicious, the vibes are laid-back and fun, and the service is wonderful. Perfect place to relax, enjoy a meal, and soak in the coastal feel. Always a good experience and definitely worth stopping by."
