"We love Duck Donuts and used to frequent the NC location. Since we moved VA, this is our first time getting donuts from this location. The store was clean and not busy. The cashier was friendly when we placed our order. We couldn’t wait to devour these tasty treats. Once we got home, after biting into the donut it was very disappointing to have a few of the donuts still raw. The dough was not cooked in the middle. We ended up cutting most of the donuts in half to check the dough and had to throw 4 out of the 12 away due to it not being fully cooked. I haven’t cut the remaining 4 donuts yet but I’m hoping they are fully cooked. Not sure how this can happen since the store uses an automated machine to make the donuts."

"Was excited to try Duck Donuts for the first time. Extremely disappointed. Donuts should not be flat. These were only about the height of my hand laid flat. The service was great, food was not unfortunately. My husband, who has had donuts from other locations in the past was even more disappointed. He said in the previously (granted at other locations) the Donuts were great. No wonder locations are closing. Very disappointed."

"The concept is 5/5. Its great to eat fresh donuts out so no questions there. Donut Sundae cost is almost at 10 a piece which in my opinion is outrageous. Individual Donut cost is decent to be around 3 a piece and so on. Again the food is not concern here just the pricing is very expensive relatively in exchange with the novelty donuts and experiences."

"During my visit on Sunday, 10/05/2025, I noticed that the cashier or counter staff seemed a bit bothered or lacked enthusiasm about assisting us. While the donuts tasted okay, they felt somewhat repetitive—just the same donut with different toppings—and the prices seemed high for donuts that didn't quite meet expectations. Overall, I was hoping for a more welcoming experience and better value."

"Jose gave phenomenal customer service. Came in for my birthday to get visiting family some new donuts to try. Had a bit of a mix up with my online order, but he was extremely kind, patient, and helpful throughout. He went above and to help us and it was greatly appreciated!"
