from Google & Yelp"This cafe is a gem in the heart of Brattleboro! The owner & staff go above & beyond for their customers, the ambiance is quaint, & the vibes are beautiful. I have never experienced a live violinist at 11:30 in the am at a cawfee shop.. until now! What a pleasant, & warm surprise on a snowy winter Vermont morning. If you’re in the area, you’ve gotta give this place a try. Ps. BESTA CHOCOLATE PISTACHIO CROISSANT I’VE EVER HAD. (Plus they have fresh squeezed juices, too!)"
"The croissants are delicious the perfect blend between soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Inside the cafe is very ambient and tastefully decorated with warm, low lighting. Plenty of seating can be found inside and outside as well. There’s also a bookshelf inside with locally made items for sale (candles, lotion, etc). Can’t wait to come back and try more of the freshly baked sweet/savory goods they had available!"
"What!? How Amazing is this coffee? Srsly people. I've had SO many cups of coffee and this is one of the best. As if that weren't enough the vibe in this place is perfection, the staff so friendly. I absolutely love love love it here. Will be back."
"Food - 2.8⭐️ Service - 2.5⭐️ Atmosphere - 4.1⭐️ ------------------- Overall rating - 3.13 Having dined here eighteen times, I now can give a fair and accurate review, based on my experiences. Today, I ordered the almond croissant, iced coffee, double shot espresso and a package of jelly beans. Food: the almond croissant was okay. In my opinion there wasn't enough filling and thus, it lacked the robust almond flavor. The croissant itself was okay, though it lacked crispiness and flakiness and some buttery flavor. I'm always amazed by the presentation of their baked products, but very disappointed when I bite into them and taste them. They lack flavor and depth and are very much overpriced and this has consistent with all my dining experiences here. Drinks: today the drinks were great. Usually the coffee, espresso and cappuccinos are the reason for my visits and honestly, they are the best part of my dining experiences at this establishment. They always are consistent and delicious. Service: service today was slow. I waited about five minutes to have my order taken, with only one person in front of me in the line. For the last four visits this has been the case, although I waited much longer. In my opinion, staff at the register need to multi-task more and be more efficient with their use of time. Atmosphere: this is a great location inside and outside of the establishment. More tables outside would be wonderful, though that's only really needed on busy days. About me: I'm a trained and experienced baker and chef. I spent over thirty years working in the culinary industry, with twelve of those years as a professional baker. I love to eat good food, especially at establishments who enjoy bringing their guests a great dining experience. All my culinary and hospitality experiences allow me to give unbiased and accurate reviews."
"I hate to speak ill of a new business but these croissants were a big letdown. I'm adding pictures so you can see the poor lamination from the inside. Instead of layers, the dough is clumped together. The almond croissants are also made with a strange ground almond mixture that did not taste like frangipane. The nut roll was the best of the bunch but overbaked so the nuts tasted burnt. Maybe my standards are too high but if you're going to charge $6 for a pastry, it should be decent. I gave them an extra star because the gentleman at the register was very nice, and this place has a lot of potential. Once the pastry chef irons out these kinks, I'd love to come back and try them again."
