"I had a pretty bad day and Dobra was what I got out of bed and got dressed for. My mistake. This was the “Taste of Kashmir chai” (allegedly) but I think “Taste of Cowsmilk” is more accurate. Nevermind that the last three times I had tried to come to Dobra in the past month and a half, it would be closed (although the hours listed online would say open, and their voicemail is full so one can’t even call to ask) so I would trek to Church street, spend 15 minutes trying to park, just to have to get back in my car. I’m not a mean or unjust person and I don’t enjoy leaving reviews like this, but I’m too anxious to ask employees to remake my drinks (which I understand is on me). However, even a non tea barista can judge by the color alone, that it is in fact terribly made and lacks…the chai. I’ve been a handful of times and the atmosphere is cozy (yet lowkey reeks of orientalism if you look too closely at the decor) and the workers are nice enough. Honestly I may not have been as frustrated with my hot cup of milk if there wasn’t an automatic gratuity on the bill. As a broke college student I did drink it because it was expensive, but I could have just saved the frustration and money and gotten a jug of milk at City Market across the street. I’m now going to get a drink at the Daily Planet and maybe a lactaid."

"Asian tea shop is located closed to downtown Burlington VT. The decoration is very zen and relaxing. The back section is shoe-off area. Many tea pots / cups / cultural artifacts on display. The lady was very nice and helpful. She showed me the menu and asked if we would like a table. Too bad we were on the time crunch, otherwise I really would love to sit and sip my tea. I had Ceylon tiger river. She boiled the water and made the tea only after I ordered. Wooooo the quality was exceptional. Very strong tea flavor and aroma. She only offered 1 size cup and I wished it was a bigger 16oz cup because it was really good!"

"We stopped by Dobra tea to try out their unique collection of teas. The store was serving limited type of tea, nonfood, since it was Monday noon. The tea store is huge, lots of tables to sit. Alongside tea, they have menu for some bites, dumplings and rice bowls as well. At the far end of the store, they have the sitting pavilions. Guests can take off their shoes and hang out in groups to enjoy tea and food. We found the price of tea and food reasonable. The person working at that time was very friendly. She explained all the tea leaves and their origin. She made our tea within few minutes. We were in rush, so we the drink to go. The tea had excellent flavor, we liked it a lot."

"I have been going to Dobra Tea for at least 3 years now. It is my little get away and place I like to meet people to sit, relax and chat. I enjoy the atmosphere and floor seating especially. The tea menu is wonderful, and it is always fun trying a new tea. Some reviews will say the teas are pricey, however I find them comparable to what one would pay for on average at a coffee house. The owner, who is the main tea maker, is very informative. However, she also tends to be busy, so be patient."

"I went here for the first time with some friends. We stayed for hours talking over our tea. There is an extensive list of teas of different varieties... Black, white, oolong, chais, herbals, etc. I had one of their spiced chais and was not disappointed. They also have some great treats, both sweet and savory. A lovely little gem of a tea house."
