"This was recommended by a friend as having the best hot chocolate there is. True enough, it delivered. The hot chocolate was not too sweet, a bit light and you can enjoy the chocolate taste instead of the sugary taste in most hot chocolates. We bought the five star bars too, but a tad expensive (5 small bars for 21 dollars!), some of the flavors were good, some were so-so. Staff was really friendly and nice. We went to their chocolate tasting too (35 dollars for 2 persons), and I appreciated it but I wish it could be shorter because we had our toddler with us (it was an hour of sitting - tasting, explanation in between, and watching videos). It was a good experience, we're fans now, but the chocolates are expensive for us."

"One of the best maple ice creams I ever had. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the ingredients. Beautiful store as well. Did not do the experience that they offer but definitely worth going here if you're in the area. Plenty of parking as well."

"Lake Champlain chocolates is a must visit for us! If you like spicy, the Spicy Aztec hot chocolate is amazing: rich chocolate with a spicy, warming kick. Peppermint hot chocolate is delicious as well. There is a section of factory seconds with some great deals - I once was lucky enough to find a bag of 4 Five Star bars. Try the Apple Cider caramels and Maple Caramels for something very Vermont."

"Visited the Lake Champlain Chocolates store to round out our Vermont trip; they have a large selection of premium chocolates and factory seconds (the ugly but still good ones at discount price). Merch and other goodies are also available. We had visited another location the day prior as this one was larger but with similar offerings with a cafe, seating and ice cream shop incorporated. There was a sample out of seasonal chocolate and the attendants were friendly and helpful - allowing us to try a little bit before purchasing. I’m not a sweets lover/chocolate fan but enjoyed everything I tasted. We had a coupon offer for free chocolate bar after purchase of $25 (spent well over that) making our own specialty box, buying a premade set and chocolate bars. I loved the maple pecan bark, dark chocolate peanut butter cups and Pistachio praline."

"It's been 20+ years since our last visit, and everything looks completely different. As expected, prices have really gone up and there's much more open space around the display areas after a recent renovation. There are no more factory tours, but you can still peek in through the window to see what part of the back room looks like. We were there on a weekday, so it was fairly quiet in the store. Customer service was friendly and prompt. We ordered a peppermint dark hot chocolate with whipped cream and a small ice cream cup. Both were rich and tasty. Nice place to pick up some locally made gourmet chocolate for a gift."
