What People Are Saying

from Google & Yelp

"My hubby and I are originally from Chicago - and do we ever miss our favorite Mediterranean spots. Nomads to the rescue! We were served by Amr. He warmly guided us through the menu options and had a lovely chat about tea and regional preferences. The atmosphere is simple, modern, and inviting. The food is reasonably priced for the amount. It's easy to dine-in or takeout. The food is delicious and radiates the aroma of the spices we love and can be hard to find in Vermont. We are already planning our next visit!"

"Rating: 3.8/5 We stopped by on a late Friday night and the place was empty. I ordered the Mix Wrap ($14.45), which came with chicken and beef shawarma. The wrap itself was different from what I expected. It was thin, long, and fried, giving it a nice crispy texture. Inside, it had potatoes, onions, and a yogurt-based sauce. While the flavors were good, it didn’t really feel like Mediterranean food, and I missed the fresh veggies like lettuce and tomatoes that I was hoping for when I chose Mediterranean in the first place."

"The young man behind the counter was nice and polite. Other than that, the food was extremely underwhelming. Is the chef here even arab? Shawarma is supposed to be seasoned and have flavor. This was just dry and bland chicken, almost as if it was just boiled chicken like “the halal guys.” So disappointing. The price is too high for the amount and quality of food. I wouldn’t mind the portion and price if it actually tasted good. This is NOT shawarma. It’s my fault though, I should’ve paid better attention to the photos posted here."

"I’ve tried Nomads a couple of times now and will definitely be back. I would recommend the chicken shawarma platter- the sauce really makes it. The Nomads burger is juicy and has beef bacon which is hard to find around here. And finally the baklava is really delicious! They’re open late (3am on weekends) which is perfect."

"Great place, all the meat products are halal, the food is delicious and the service and politeness of the owner is beyond the standard. Excellent spot!"

"Awesome coffee shop located inside a converted industrial building. Walls are lined with art on the way in, spot for bike parking and outdoor seating...."
