What People Are Saying
from Google"This was one of our favorite spot to dine during a trip to Woodstock. A very cute and local feel to this place. Food and service get 5 stars. On the weekends, one must make a reservation. Also check on hours of going there as it varies by days."
"A wonderful dinner celebrating my husband's birthday. Our server was very kind and attentive. Really warm atmosphere. Assorted breads and mussels were exquisite. Enjoyed the cinnamon cocktail and red ale. Swordfish and Cajun pot pie were very tasty. Impressed with the 7 dessert options (brought out on a tray!) - ginger cheesecake was decadent. Our car got stuck and we were struggling to reach a towing company. The staff was concerned and even offered to help push the car out if no one could come. Really felt welcome, this was our first time here after moving to the area. Looking forward to returning! Honestly the most enjoyable fine dining experience in the Upper Valley because of the food, ambience, and hospitality."
"Cozy inviting atmosphere with great staff and wonderful food and drinks. Open mic adds to the special atmosphere Such an amazing joyful authentic place. Thank you for years of commitment to this landmark"
"This is a really Charming place! We were heading back to Massachusetts and looking for a spot for dinner. The tavern was pretty full but they made a table for us and squeezed us in! The service was personal and the atmosphere was delightful. The food was wonderful as well. Recommend that you make a reservation."
"As a local, it was hard to believe this place could be so good since we had never heard about it and it is in the middle of nowhere! Went for a friend's birthday dinner and, wow, what a treat! It is in several small rooms of a very old house that used to be an inn. The eclectic atmosphere and historic ambiance made for a warm and homey vibe. You need to make reservations because seating and parking are limited. We sat at the bar, which seats 6, where Heidi took great care of us. What a sweetheart! The drinks were amazing, and the food was top-notch, local, fresh, everything made from scratch!! This means it takes a little longer to prepare, and it was pricey but well worth it for a special occasion. We will definitely be back! It is family-owned, and everyone, even the chef, interacted with the guests - you can feel the family ties here. These folks have a very special thing going on, and it is working, and apparently, has been for many years. It didn't appear that the building was wheelchair accessible and the bathrooms were up very narrow stairs on the 2nd and 3rd floors, so if you have mobility issues, this may not work for you."
