"Good place for tacos in Rutland. The fish tacos were very good. The beef in the fajitas was a little tough (could have been sliced a little thinner) but the taste was very good. Beer list was pretty good... Something for everyone."

"Last night my family and I (husband, 5 yo & a 1 yo) decided to go out for dinner, which is extremely rare for us. We chose this establishment as it’s been one of our favorites since it’s opened and have always had great service! Last night was the night it was not great. We sat in the back.. it took about 20 minutes for our server to finally come over and introduce herself- which we never got her name, just offered to bring us water. Another 10 minutes to get a round of waters. She finally came back and we gave her our orders. My 5 yo is a very picky eater but LOVES tacos. I had ordered the fajita special and then my daughter asked for soft tacos with black beans and sour cream. Very simple. When our food finally came out (which was brought out by another staff member) there was no plate put in front of my daughter. I asked the guy where her food was- and he points to my plate and says “2 of those tortillas are for her and the black beans.”…… a 2oz cup of black beans. That’s enough for 1 taco! And the principle that they just put it on my plate instead of her having a plate put in front of her made her feel left out when she was so excited to tell the waitress her own order like a big girl. I had to ask for a separate plate for her, what is she gonna do, eat off the table? About 10 minutes into our meal, our waitress comes over with my pina colada I had totally forgot I had even ordered. My husband asked about his drink, she goes “oh a modelo, right?” He says “nope. Just a coke.” My 5 yo inhaled the 2 tacos and was still hungry. Finally got the waitresses attention to request more beans and tortilla wraps as I had shared some of mine with her. They end up bringing it out. By this time we had been there well over 2 hours and my 1 yo had had enough so I brought her out to the car. My husband comes to the car completely floored that we were charged $12 additionally, for a couple of tortillas and black beans! Mind you- my daughter ordered the taco meal that wasn’t even entered correctly. The whole thing was just disappointing and like I said, we don’t go out often these days with a 5 & 1 yo. It’s stressful enough and then to have two very hungry kiddos with lack of patience, to have a server not be attentive to us, was extremely frustrating and disappointing. We left feeling as though we should have picked the other restaurant over taco fresco last night. I also will not be changing this review if anyone reaches out to me and I hope accountability and further training is taken."
