from Google"While I do miss Table 24 (the previous restaurant at this location) I'm very happy with Treviso! It's still the cozy atmosphere and the food is outstanding. For appetizers we had the focaccia, cheese curds, and balsamic dates. All were very good and the cheese curds had a nice surprise of being served in marinara. For an entry, I had the meatballs and they were some of the best I've ever had. My gf had the Rigatoni Bolognese and it too was very good. Others in our party had some pasta dishes that looked and smelled amazing but someone sitting next to me had the chicken parmesan and it took all my will power to not steal some off his plate. Next time, that's what I'm getting! Our server was perfect and a manager (or may an owner?) even stopped by and checked on our table. I don't mind paying for good quality that this fit the bill. Plus, the portions were so big that everyone but me had leftovers (I didn't get pasta with my meatballs so I polished them off)."
"Being from the NYC area I wasn’t expecting much from a Vermont Italian restaurant, but Treviso very much exceeded our expectations. The ceaser salad was gorgeous and probably one of the best I’ve ever had, with crispy capers and cured egg. The arancini was also great. We loved the bolognese, chicken cutlet, and the fusilli. Our waitress was also so accommodating and it was overall a great experience. May be up there as one of the best restaurants in Rutland."
"We had a wonderful meal here tonight. The atmosphere is so nice. It was a perfect place for a date night dinner. The lighting is great. We were able to talk and we didn't feel crowded by having tables too close together. It was really nice and comfortable and relaxing. Our waiter, Jeff, was so nice and knowledgeable. He was very helpful in making our own menu selections. He was also so pleasant and great to talk food with!! . You can tell that he enjoys his work. We did not feel rushed at all and we absolutely enjoyed every bite of our meal. The fig appetizer was to die for it was so delicious and highly recommend that.!! The main entres were presented in such a pretty way. Everything just looked delicious even before the first bite! and it all smelled delicious! The foccacia bread was soft and crunchy abd delicous! The wines were delicious. They have a nice selection of Italian wines. I tried the orange and it complimented the branzino perfectly. We were so full, but I was not about to not try dessert. I had a scoop of espresso ice cream that was so delicious and homemade cookies that just totally hit the spot with a latte that was perfect. !! We will definitely be back. It was just so nice to have a nice relaxing delicious meal. !! Also, the restaurant just smelled so delicious with all kinds of flavors. It smelled as flavorful and authentic as the north end in Boston. We will definitely be back it such a nice evening !!"
"First time at this new Italian restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised by the authentic Italian items (e.g. bruschetta, arancini, gnocchi, Cotoletta Milanese, etc.) and ingredients, (e.g. Broccoli Rabe , Ricotta Salata, Pecorino Romano, Panzanella etc. ). We started off with the Bruschetta di Ceci, an Italian hummus served over toasted bread with olive tapenade and topped with ricotta salata. Delicious. I had the Bronzini Panzanella while my wife had the Linguine with Clam Sauce. Both perfectly cooked and tasty. We chose two wines from the mostly Italian wine list, and both were excellent. If not for the fact that we had a concert to catch, we would have enjoyed one of the Italian desserts, but we will definitely be back to try out more of this delicious fare. Grazie Mille!"
"Great atmosphere. Service was good, but starter course was forgotten and brought after mains. Sea bass was excellent. Pasta dish lacked heat as suggested on menu. Nduja sausage flavor was not detectable. Pasta was lukewarm and overcooked. Desserts were delicious… tiramisu was very good, but the portion size was huge. Overall a nice place to eat and will be back for another go."
