"Pierce’s has an excellent selection of groceries and Vermont-made goods, even handmade items from local artists. You can tell that a lot of thought and care go into the buying, and I left with way more than I expected to find, including the cutest handmade ceramic bird pitcher. I chatted with the staff and learned about the history of the store, and how it is currently worker-owned and operated. I also noticed that the prices were lower than other shops in the area, which is remarkable for a smaller store. I appreciated finding vegan ice cream, too."
