from Google"Plate had a mix of delicious and creative cocktails along with scrumptious food options. We shared the corn fritters, salad mix, Jamie’s on grain, bar steak, and halibut! The halibut, Jamie’s on grain, and corn fritters were stand outs for me! They all were an exquisite mix of flavor but nothing too overwhelming. The fritters are such a simple shareable but oh so tasty with the hot honey glazing them to add sweetness! Sit at the bar, the bartenders are superb and the cocktails top notch! We tried their seasonal options and all of them hit the mark!"
"Tough review. If this was based on food alone, I would have to say this place is simply brilliant, serving some of the best dishes I've had in recent memory. A 5 Star meal worth every penny. And, we were told when we were seated that they were having some issues with the Internet, having to close out checks using a hot spot. Not a big deal from our perspective. This may have caused a hiccup in their quality service that they were just not able to get passed. We were seated at our reservation time and 10 minutes in were asked for our drink order. We informed our server that we could also order our food. We ordered a bottle of wine, two appetizers, a salad and two main dishes. Then we didn't see our server again until the 35 minutes mark when we asked someone to find her. We cancelled our bottle of wine ($145) and requested two ciders ($16), hoping they could be a faster option. They arrived within 5 minutes. The atmosphere was one of chaos. It seemed the kitchen was calm and collected, not aware that the rest of the staff seemed to rush by tables without a glance. They seemed to be running to catch up to something. And our server was decidedly absent for the remainder of our meal. Then the food arrives. Pure brilliance. Flavors balanced. Textures and execution are masterful. The garlic and Parmesan souffle with basil cream is a flawless version of the classic dish. Amazingly tender and fluffy with hints of salt from the cheese. The blistered shishito peppers were expertly prepared with a mint creme fraiche. Such a simple dish elevated to the next level. The Jamie's on Grain salad was sheer genius. The cranberry add a little sweetness while the maple vinaigrette adds a beautiful element of acid. Crunch of the pumpkin seeds and the tender pieces of sweet potatoes create a texture balance that was appreciated. The veggie burger was delicious! Delectable. Grilled pork tenderloin was surprisingly savory considering the sweet potato, brown butter and grilled peaches. Pork was tender and juicy. The peaches were a star here, adding a little sweet/tart element to balance everything out. Our server swung by as we were finished and asked how everything tasted... While our empty plates sat on the table for several more minutes, we flagged down a woman that took our plates, wipes our table and offered us dessert menus. She didn't appear to be a server and was the only calming element in front of house. We ordered the peanut butter cup. And this is the right decision! Might be the best I've had. We had a couple of glasses of port and then checked out. The bill process being super quick and simple. Could have just been an off night for service. I will say that the couple of times we talked with her, she was super delightful. Just lacking the same quality of service as we had with the food. Hit-and-miss. Food might get me back, but everything else makes this a one-and-done."
"Super fun establishment on Maine street. Great atmosphere and decor. Food was really well prepared. Very busy place, rightfully so, get a reservation for the. Great cocktails and awesome beer selections. The banana pudding was killer good!"
"We celebrated a friend’s birthday at this terrific spot in downtown Stowe. Great cocktails and cool vibe. My pork chop was outstanding and all of us were super pleased!!"
"A New York priced place in Stowe. It was beautiful and artisanal but even in New York I wouldn’t pay $25 for a burger unless it’s from a steak house. Even Michelin starred ramen restaurants I didnt pay $35 for pork ramen. The pork was tough but the noodles were chewy and didn’t taste like they came from a ramen packet thank god. But that was the direction they were going in with this. The cocktails were so small and we were drinking them down so quickly that we had two $25 drinks before our meals even came. Nice for a date or a romantic dinner but don’t go hungry or if you’re looking to get a bunch of cocktails"
