"While planning my trip to Vermont, I came across 🍺 The Alchemist Brewery—home of the once world-ranked No. 1 beer, Heady Topper. I’d been dying to know what it tasted like. It’s about a 50-minute drive from downtown Vermont, so I hesitated a bit, but since the Ben & Jerry’s Factory was on the way, I decided to make a little adventure out of it. The first sip tasted like a classic IPA—aromatic and refreshing—followed by this surprisingly bitter finish. I read the description and saw it supposedly had the flavor of cannabis. I was so startled I actually called over a staff member to ask if it really contained cannabis. Thankfully, it doesn’t—just a taste note that resembles it. And that’s how I learned what “cannabis-like” tastes like. The vibe was great, and the staff was super friendly. Definitely worth the trip. Recommend!"

"Definitely a nostalgic visit as heady topper was one of my first craft beers. Overall I was hoping for more from our visit but it was still nice. Everything was served out a can on our visit. Staff were friendly and prices were ok. Their property was peaceful and the weather was perfect. Overall hopefully draft pours happen again, but I will always love this brewery."

"I’m not a huge beer person, but we went because my husband loves craft beers - and he was in heaven! They had so many options, and I really liked how the menu was organized by alcohol content, from the lightest to the strongest. The cans are a great size, and you can even grab a 4 pack to take home if you find a favorite. There was live music and food trucks, which made it such a fun weekend outing!"

"Fantastic venue with very cool artwork, and a great outdoor space. The beer is off the charts good. Staff was also very friendly and helpful. There were a couple of oddities though. Nearly everything was canned, they only had a couple of actual taps. Also, they did last call an hour before closing, I guess when they close at 8 they mean it. Glad we came a little earlier."

"We visited this place 2 years ago and it was still under Covid restrictions. The beer is very good. So we took some home. We came back and a pleased to see it is mostly the same. Now they have a space for live music. Great views and out door space."
