from Google"We booked 2 rooms for a night at the Vesper and truly loved the place. The self-check-in could not have been easier. The rooms were big and beautifully designed in a warm, simple, slightly eclectic style. We all slept great and enjoyed having good coffee and some light breakfast items the next morning. All of that plus great communication from the owners and very reasonable rates (esp. considering it's right in the heart of Woodstock) make it a place we feel sure we'll return to."
"We had such a wonderful stay at The Vesper! It was our first time visiting Woodstock, and we’re so glad we chose this spot. The place is beautiful — cozy, stylish, and full of thoughtful touches. Our room was super comfortable, and the whole vibe struck the perfect balance between laid-back and luxurious. Jessica, the innkeeper, was amazing — so welcoming and full of great recommendations for things to do around town. The location couldn’t be better, just a quick walk to all the shops and restaurants. We absolutely loved it and can’t wait to come back!"
"The room had lots of space, no amenities, unless you consider towels, half filles bottles of shampoo, and a refillable bottle of water. We also have a queen bed at home, this was a double not a queen. The spa bath was nice, but had alot of sand residue for some reason both times I used it. We stayed the end of December, the room was very hot, you don't need warm pjs, if you need pjs at all, we opened a window, it didn't help much, no fan in the room. This room is just a room with a bed, two chairs, a desk and chair, a bureau, closets a private full bath with whirlpool. If you want coffee/hot cocoa, tea in your room, bring your own kettle. No microwave so bring any snacks you might like. Town shuts down at 5/6 except restaurants. Fair to say, the owners classified it as a back to basics and self awareness bed and breakfast. You can hear people in the other rooms, snoring can be heard, not annoying though, the whirlpool at 7 am is though 😳 Breakfast: In the main area, a café of coffee and hot water for tea, sugar, cream and honey. Toast, one type of bread 1st morning was honey nut, second morning it was white bread, warm oatmeal is available, hard boiled eggs, chocolate chip and blueberry mini muffins. 1st morning spice coffee cake, second morning chocolate chip coffeecake slices, Melon slices, chopped apples, cherrios or cornflakes in containers. Toaster needs replacing, toast at high 2 times to get bread toasted. Parking is good, just line up in front of the guest signs and there's plenty of parking."
"Spent a long time trying to decide which BnB to stay in Woodstock, and so glad I decided to stay at the Vesper! Such a fantastic location, easy to walk around everywhere downtown, easy parking and Jessica was wonderful with check in and check out. The room itself surpassed my expectations, it was spacious and so clean and rustic- the working fireplace was literally a gem during the chilly nights in November. The showers were hot and the room had everything we needed. The noise in the BnB was just from it being an old house. We stayed on the first floor and could hear the creaking from upstairs or if people closed their doors, but it wasn’t a disruption to our stay and not a complaint as people were respectful. I would 10/10 recommend the Vesper to anyone looking for a wonderful, charming and convenient place to stay in Woodstock! It was exactly what I wanted to stay in a cute small town. I look forward to returning!"
"We are so happy we stayed at The Vesper. We stayed during October in the Fela room, and it was prime location for doing all the fall activities. Everything is within walking distance. The home has old Vermont charm and was impeccably clean and welcoming. The owner and her family were extremely accommodating and friendly. If you’re looking for affordable for the area, cozy, charming, homey, this is the spot!"
