What People Are Saying
from Google"This location is fairly new, and the first thing you notice is how spacious it is lots of seating and a wide layout. There’s even a rail station right in front, so I imagine it will get busier over time. The coffee itself wasn’t really to my taste, but I think most people would find it much more enjoyable when paired with something sweet like a macaron or chocolate (which is probably why they sell them together) At checkout, the tip options were surprisingly high 20%, 25%, and 30%. Still, I really liked the upscale exterior and interior design"
"Dote is one of my favorite local spots, and a huge part of that is the people who work there. Josephine, especially, is amazing. She manages the Spring District location (and I’ve seen her at Lincoln Square too), and she’s always so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely engaged. It’s rare these days to walk into a coffee shop and feel like someone actually cares about your experience, but she really does. The coffee is great, and the pastries are fantastic, seriously, they’re way better than you’d expect from a coffee shop— but it’s the staff that keeps me coming back. Everyone is kind, upbeat, and helpful, and the whole place just has a really good vibe. If you want great coffee and even better people, Dote is the place."
"The place looks really nice, and the staff was super friendly. I ordered caffe latte, it tasted more like flavored milk to me. I was quite disappointed. The cakes pastries didn't have any allergy labels on it, so didn't order anything as I would have to ask about each and every thing and there was a queue forming up behind me."
"Cafe itself is fantastic. Modern and comfortable decor, large square footage with a couple of quiet cozy nooks you can settle into with friends for long chats. Drinks are mid. They don't suck. I have tried the seasonal black sesame latte and it tasted like a too sweet PSL with a smidge of black sesame paste, it was very confusing to my asian american palate. Parking is nearly non-existent. There are a limited number of 2 hour free street parking. Otherwise, you can go by foot since the light rail station is just across the street. I think it is clear at this point Dote isn't catering to customers that drive and most, if not all of their locations are designed to serve office workers at the foot of major tech company buildings."
"Their truffle candies are amazing! Coffee and croissants are also good. Street parking is limited, but possible. They have a nice outside covered sitting area and lots of sitting options inside. Recommend."
