"I will preface this by saying I have a sweet tooth and sometime you just want a chocolate chip pancake, ok? Ok great! It has been a minute since I was here and guys yes there is a wait and yes, it’s long but this is such a fun splurge that you can deal with that, but also, you can order your coffee, boozy coffee or whatever you like at the counter and sip as you wait! Fun times my friends. The place is pretty much an upscale barn type building with you guessed it a great big birch door, lots of windows plenty of tables and very down to earth! Service is always on point here and true enough our server was very polite if a bit new but nothing to detract from our time. I ordered the chocolate chip pancake 5/5 and there was plenty to go home with me(6 very fluffy delicious pancakes) the hubby ordered an omelet 5/5 with a side of pancakes. Everything was delicious and  Viennese was an added bonus (YUM!)"

"I would drive across the border for this place. We were spending a weekend in Semiahmoo and stopped here on the way back. The space itself is warm and welcoming, spacious yet cozy - every seat was full! We had to wait a few minutes for our tables but were able to be order drinks right away. The food was incredible. Everything tasted fresh and each item ordered did not disappoint (we were a large party and ordered quite a few!) our server was so friendly and patient as we debated what to get on their very extensive menu. This place is really just great all around. Hope to go back soon!"

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Brunch here was fantastic. My German pancake was amazing — perfectly cooked, light, and full of flavor. I also had a greyhound, which was refreshing and paired great with the meal. The building itself is part of the experience — the iconic wooden door, cozy cabin-style feel, and warm, inviting vibe make this place instantly recognizable and memorable. It feels like a destination, not just a restaurant. Great food, great atmosphere, and a spot I’d happily return to and recommend. The Birch Door Cafe is absolutely worth the visit."

"I seen this place recommended a lot on TikTok and decided to try it out for breakfast. We got there about 8:00 AM so it wasn’t super packed. Even when we left, it was just barely getting busy. The food was absolutely spectacular and will definitely come here again in the future!!!"

"At first glance on the menu I thought dang this is a little overpriced. After receiving the food I can say it's adequately priced. The portions are large and the quality is top notch. The apple pancakes are a souffle layered with apples, cinnamon crunch, and served with delicious apple syrup. It was massive and I could only finish half of it. The biscuits are made from scratch and huge. The gravy is delicious with a strong taste of sage (which I like). My partner ordered his eggs soft scrambled and they cooked them perfectly. Not everywhere can do a good soft scramble but they nailed it. The mocha with homemade espresso whipped cream was fantastic. The service was great despite being super busy and all of the staff were so incredibly sweet. This will certainly be our new breakfast/brunch spot!"
