What People Are Saying
from Google"We went to the cottage on a Saturday morning for breakfast. I was impressed by the place as soon as I entered the restaurant. It has a very nice cozy and rustic vibe which is quite relaxing. We ordered the baked French toast and vegan tofu scramble. Both were well prepared and we enjoyed the food a lot. Place is on the expensive side compared to other places but then food and ambiance compensated for it. I liked the place and will visit again."
"My friends and I came here for brunch on a sunny day. I made a reservation in advance and we were seated at a spacious table without any issues. The vibe here is local and cozy while a little bit noisy is durable, however, the food is not my type. I ordered the mushroom toast with ham and eggs. The portion was generous and the presentation was appealing, but the dish felt quite heavy for brunch. The mushrooms were quite a lot, which is good, but the bread is totally soaked into the oil, so the plate was a bit too oily for my taste. My friends ordered other dishes like the beef short rib hash and French toast. While they were all beautifully plated and satisfying in portion, most of them leaned heavily on rich and oily flavors. The beef short rib hash is quite oily. The French toast came with fresh berries and looked great, but was very sweet and dense, because they use croissant. The server was kind and welcoming. I appreciated that she checked in regularly to make sure everything was going well, though I would’ve preferred a bit more space without frequent interruptions during our conversation. Overall, the food is photogenic and filling, and the service is attentive. But the dishes here are definitely on the heavier side — if you’re looking for something lighter or more balanced, this might not be the best fit."
"You HAVE to get the shortrib hash. 9.5 /10. Delicious. Crispy potatoes, juicy and flavorful meat, great aioli...all around, a real treat! The wife said this Avocado Toast was the best she's had. Great bread, fresh avocado... perfect. I also had the Gingerbread latte. I consider myself something of an afficionado, since I make 20 dozen Gingerbread cookies every year. This was perfect. Not too heavy, lots of flavor and the perfect foam on top."
"Overall, the place has great vibes and delicious food. The only downside is that if you want a cozy spot in the restaurant, you need to book in advance , that area is for reservations only. It feels a bit odd that even if those tables stay empty for over 30 minutes, they still won’t let you sit there. It’s pretty disappointing when you’re hoping for a warm, cozy table by the fireplace and can’t get it. I’m attaching a video of that cozy seating area so you can see what I mean!"
"I had such a great brunch here! The Eggs Benedict were outstanding. I loved that they used thinly sliced ham instead of a big chunk, which made the dish feel lighter and perfectly balanced. The Turkish eggs were rich and flavorful, and the macchiato was spot on. The place was packed and seating wasn’t easy to find, but the food more than made up for it. Definitely worth coming back for!"
