What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"I was drawn to the incredible architecture their building offers. Alas, read their description before hand. It appears to be a great place for baristas, the entire bottom half of the building gives them an abundance of space to work well. They have an great view of the area and their branding is well done from what I noted. The square footage doesn't equate patron seating, at least not in the fall season. I'd went out of my way to venture here in hopes for some great coffee with a bit of upstairs seating, I was wrong. Upon noting my mistake I searched for a potential walk up window which also didn't appear to be an option either. Aunt Irene's (in shop/patio seating) & Second Love Coffee Roasters (balcony/in shop seating) in Des Moines would be a better choice for seating if you're looking to hunker down and study or work for a bit. I'm sure their products are great but I was so off put I didn't loop back to snag a coffee or a treat. We may visit again if we're in the area to try it out but outside of the external esthetic there wasn't much of a "set apart factor" like other shops in the area."
"The coffee is good, but a bit pricey. The paper products are so cheap I ended up with 3 drinks in my lap as they were handed to me. I’m not sure why we should tip someone for handing us a drink, but I still give them 4 stars because it tastes better than Starbucks."
"So good! Was on vacation and this was my go to spot, sometimes more than once a day 😅 their cold brew is amazing! I had a caramel macchiato, a pistachio cold brew with oat milk and vanilla shortbread cold foam, and a Dubai chocolate cold brew with oat milk. All were not too sweet, tasted like great coffee and I’m so sad I have to go home."
"I got out of my way to come to this one in Kent from time to time and this is the 2nd time I have came through at 7:00pm your barista has told us we can’t have any blended drinks because they are soaping the equipment. My favorite thing in the world is your white chocolate mocha shake and now I guess I just won’t come here anymore. You don’t close for an HOUR and you’re already limiting the menu :-( Big foot Java has gotten my money twice now and it is not out of my way."
"The lady was rude, the two girls in the back were talking smack about other customers (very unprofessional), and the coffee was TERRIBLE! It was sour and tastes rotten/spoiled. $15 for two 24oz drinks. $17 something in total. Crazy. I will not be back."
"I get there is a matcha shortage, but wth is this? They legit gave me just milk. Not even the slightest hue of green. Just threw them away."
