"Came for breakfast—place has a nice atmosphere, but the experience was off. Only table for four was outside in the parking lot, and we had to clean it ourselves. Despite ordering dine-in, my burrito was left on the counter until I found it. Everything was overly spiced—mouth on fire, but not in a flavorful way. Shakshuka was the same. My mouth was burning from the burrito. On the bright side, the yogurt and coffee were both good. All in all, the place has charm, but I wouldn’t recommend sitting outside, and the kitchen could use a lighter hand with the spice. Also, we did not like giving tips up front. It kind of ruins the point of it."

"First time here and was amazed by the flavor and quality of food. The environment is very beach going and the staff was extremely friendly. Greeted when we walked in and enjoyed the little store inside the restaurant. Filled with high quality clothing and surf themed treasures. So happy we can add another place to dine and enjoy some delicious coffee during our Long Beach Peninsula trips. Got the breakfast sandwich, husband got burrito and the nitro cold brew coffee was bold and so smooth. Didn't need any cream. 10/10 🦭🪼"

"This was a nice meal conveniently located off the main road in Long Beach. Service was friendly. I'm leaving 4 stars rather than 5 because their credit card processing isn't setup properly. Charges at the restaurant show up as "Boardwalk Cottages." I didn't recognize that name so I thought maybe someone was using my credit card without my knowledge. I had to do some digging to figure out that Boardwalk Cottages is a related business. Charges at a business should always match the name on the sign out front so customers can quickly check their card statements for fraud."

"Really nice environment and I really want to love it here. However be warned that the prices are a bit shocking. We somehow ended up paying $9 for an 8 oz quad shot peppermint mocha with regular milk. And that's before the tip. That's more than $1 per oz! 🤣😭😭 it just felt a bit silly."

"With our hotel coffee closed for the day we decided to venture out and found Current Surf. We were greeted by Jenny who helped us with our order. The nitro cold brew was smooth and delicious. The breakfast burritos were some of the best my wife and I have had with fantastic flavor and a wrap with crispiness that was just right. After being there for a little Jenny even came out to give our dog a little bacon treat. Great team and great vibes in the shop. On top of a good breakfast the apparel in there is top notch. Would highly recommend them if you are staying in Long Beach or on your way through."
