What People Are Saying
from Google"All about the atmosphere, hands down one of the best coffee shops we found in Seattle area"
"A few years ago, I did not have a great experience af Whidbey Coffee. I decided to return (since I was visiting the island) I decided I wanted a cup of coffee. We ended up dining in and having some breakfast items. The coffee is always good. Nice hot and great aroma. I ordered a Bagel and tasted a breakfast burritto. The Burrito was yummy and satisfying while the bagel was tender and soft on the inside and a nice chew on the outside. Service was good too. I really enjoyed this last visit and I'll definitely return again when I'm in town."
"I love coming here I always get stuff here but I feel like they are lazy and don’t do their jobs because I order my sandwich with them and they only put bacon on my bacon egg n cheese bagel or I order something extra to BE PUT ON IT. They literally gave it to me on the side and the manager is the one who gave us the sandwiches and I told her she should tell people she’s not gonna put the extra stuff on so we’ll know not to order it and she completely ignores me. Aren’t managers supposed to be the ones who make things right ? Not ignore feedback from an unhappy customer. We were gonna give them a 20$ tip since it’s thanksgiving too but since she did that to me and my husband we decided they didn’t deserve any tip at all. So unprofessional. I’d avoid this place and go to the one on pioneer they always get something wrong and I’ve been so patient with them, continuing to go back and giving them grace but I’m just done because I feel like it’s disrespectful to make a costumer build the sandwich they paid you to build and then ignore them when they ask why or to tell us they’re gonna do that. Get better employees cause I’m not coming back because of this reason. I’m so dissatisfied with my experience. Paying costumers should always get treated like such especially when they are being respectful and just wanting an answer. Not treated like part of the team having to do the baristas job. I’ll be calling corporate for this because costumer service is what keeps bringing costumers back. I used to be a barista and I’d never ignore my customers because that’s just not right to do when someone is asking you a question. I’m appalled. Another thing that also made me feel uncomfortable was that we ordered 2 24 oz coffees hot. When she gave us our drinks they were iced so I told her that I had ordered it hot, Instead of being apologetic and just fixing it she said “we only do iced in 24 oz” so I informed her that we were never told that and didn’t know. After I had told her that, all I got from her was attitude in return and to pull forward and someone would take us out our drinks. still nothing no apology for the wait because it had been a long wait and no apology for ignoring me either. No costumer deserves that treatment. Especially on thanksgiving. I feel bad for anyone who had to experience the same treatment."
"Not sure what was up with this location evening of 31Oct2025. We entered knowing close was likely coming soon. The staff was nice but extremely casual -- not Whidbey Island casual -- moreover taking for ever with everything and not saying anything. Lack of change in the till, drink delivery was slug speed, the staff offered everyone ice cubes because they said the water was around 200F (meaning?) and nobody said there was any sort of issue with the equipment (if there was). Overall, the vibe this made was stagnant and other-than-welcoming. Finally got our drinks then got cozy in some of the comfy chairs. Shortly after one of the staff came around and said "We're closed by the way." -- why didn't they say with delivering drinks "If you want to have a seat, you're welcome to, however we are closing in 10 minutes" or something? The whole experience felt ... OFF ... and off-putting for the brand. Also, I ordered a chai (masala chai being implied, a simple heat-&-serve drink) -- just chai, not chai latte, not the advertised fru-fru Hallowe'en chai -- just a chai. I have never had liquid masala chai candy before, but apparently now I have. In between body shutters, I hear the ghost of Wilford Brimley saying "Di-ah-betes". PS - Teach your staff what masala is, what chai means, and why saying "chai tea" sounds dumb and unprofessional."
"I love this place and find it laughable that some of these reviewers act like everyone should be perfect human beings like them. For the lady leaving the thanksgiving review, here’s my review of your review: As another customer, I just want to thank you for the most dramatic breakdown ever written about… placing your own bacon on a bagel. Truly, a Thanksgiving tragedy. The way you survived iced-coffee confusion, a manager who didn’t want to debate sandwich engineering, and the emotional devastation of not getting a 24 oz hot cup—absolutely heroic. And the part where you proudly announced you withheld a tip from people working on Thanksgiving, away from their own families, because your bagel assembly didn’t meet your artistic vision? Beautiful. Nothing says ‘respectful customer’ quite like punishing holiday staff for not catering to your every demand. Please record your corporate call—I’d love to hear the moment they realize your biggest hardship this year was breakfast."
