"I’m far from a coffee connoisseur, but I love exploring new flavors. Today, I decided to test out their Blackberry Chai. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. It’s essentially chai mixed with blackberry syrup, leaning very heavily into the sweet side of the palette. Because of the high sugar content, the sweetness completely masks the tea, and I struggled to find any distinct blackberry notes. If you’re looking for a unique or balanced flavor profile, this might not be the one for you. On the bright side, the ambience is fantastic. The shop has a very cool, unique retro feel that makes it a great spot to hang out. While I’ll definitely stop by again to soak up the atmosphere and try a standard coffee, it’s a pass on the chai for me."

"Coffee is 👌🏾 excellent. I really like how the specialty lattes are still very coffee forward and now extra sweet and milky. But the real star of the show, the food! It's actually really good! And the service is too notch. There is a Starbucks right next door and I feel bad for the folks that go there instead. Soulfood is 💯 worth the visit!"

"I really wanted to love this place as I’ve heard great things about the food. That being said, if they tell you that you’re buying their last chicken biscuit of the day, pick another option. 😬 It was very greasy and almost looks like it was reheated in a press or something as it was smashed. I didn’t order coffee so I can’t comment on that. & the barista that I spoke to was nice, but they generally seemed very preoccupied with the swap meet happening at the store. Maybe the vibes are different in the morning? 🤷‍♀️"
