What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"I was very hungry, so I decided to stop by this nice place. The person who served me was very friendly and professional. I asked them to recommend a sandwich, and they did so gladly. The food was phenomenal, an exquisite taste that was absolutely delicious. It was definitely the best orange juice I've ever tasted, and the breakfast sandwich was the best I've ever had – it was incredible! You can't imagine how good it was. I hope you can enjoy this place as much as I did. I will definitely be back often."
"Such a cute place. They literally sell everything you need for a picnic, from sandwiches, pastries, and juices, to wine, cheese, and crackers, right down to the blanket and picnic basket itself. Adorable! And the food's not too shabby either. They've got a big selection of breakfast and lunch items. The menu rotates a lot so a handful of items don't always quite hit the mark, but that's the price you pay for creativity, and the success rate is high. I'd highly recommend the breakfast combo with a breakfast sandwich (upgraded to deluxe, of course), a cinnamon roll (they only make a batch or two each day, so come early), and a fresh-squeezed orange juice. Aside from that, the weekend-only babka is fantastic, the scones are perfectly buttery and tender (and even better warm), the miso chocolate chip cookie is incredibly soft and not too sweet, and the Nanaimo bar is understandably legendary. Everything is obviously homemade with lots of care and love. The space is small but cute. There's a small market section with local and imported goods. There's a small outdoor eating area and four 2-seat high-top tables inside, so not a ton of seating. There's also no Wi-Fi. So it's not exactly designed as a sit-and-sip-a-while kind of cafe, more of a to-go experience, or at the most, just a quick bite and then hit the road. That said, I had some time to kill so I did some work on my laptop for a few hours there and I didn't feel unwelcome at all. Baskette is simply a friendly place! I'm not sure if it was the owner who serving customers and making drinks, but he was warm and kind to everyone. Lots of regulars came in and caught up with him on weekend plans, sick kids, work woes. This business is run with passion and I can't wait to be back!"
"Delightful coffee & bakery that feels straight out of Stars Hollow—whimsical, charming and delicious food! Their breakfast sandwich is wonderful. The fluffy bread is made in house, American cheese was an undersell for a cheddar like layer, the hot sauce was a small and welcome bit of slight heat. The chocolate chip cookies with a sprinkle of maldon salt was amazing. Didn’t have Wi-Fi or I would be here every day. Staff was so friendly and warm. Idyllic little spot for a baked good or sandwich!"
"This is a lovely spot for a brunch sandwich. I really enjoyed the warm and inviting atmosphere here, and the owner was exceptionally friendly and personable. We're definitely looking forward to returning again!"
"One of my absolute favorite bakeries and breakfast/lunch spots in Seattle and I’m fortunate enough to have them in my neighborhood. They’re food is top notch every time from sweet to savory options. You can tell they use good ingredients and take pride in their recipes and presentation. The gentleman behind the counter is always friendly and accommodating too. Definitely patron this place!"
"So many options for baked goods and breakfast items. There were sandwiches and we would definitely go back to check out the Sandwiches. We got 20 miso..."
