What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Light, airy, minimalist aesthetic cafe with decent seating (7+ tables), including 2 corner booths by the windows! Coffee was ok; about $1 - 2+/drink more expensive than other Seattle cafes. They have a staff-curated book selection on the walls, along with a few notebooks, stickers, water bottles and other small items for sale. They also had 2 very clean bathrooms with diaper changing tables, which is always appreciated. Appears to be a popular choice for ppl working remotely or friends stopping by for a quick chat. The space and table to table distance is quite narrow, so I wouldn't recommend it as kid friendly (though they had some children's books). Even some moms sat outside on the outdoor patio as there was more space for the prams / strollers. Better as a pickup to go place."
"Hypocrisy at its finest. For those not aware, this establishment is going to reintroduce tipping and service fees, in addition to their employees getting $21.30 an hour. So now that employees will be getting $21.30 an hour plus tips — that’s great for them, but if that’s truly about fairness, shouldn’t menu prices go down to reflect it? The messaging here feels completely inconsistent. You can’t claim to stand for “fairness” while charging customers higher prices and still expecting tips on top. It’s a perfect example of Seattle’s performative “progressivism” — all talk about equity, until it comes time to actually make it fair for the customer too."
"One of my favorite local coffee shop chains. They change their menu seasonally and a lot of their lattes are quite unique. I recently tried their Uncrustable Latte ($7.33 after tax as of June 2023), which combines the flavors of peanut butter and jelly. It was very delicious and def tasted like a PB&J sandwich in a cup. I also tried a Coco Kyoto ($7.23 after tax ) which unfortunately did not have any coconut flavor."
"This location of Fuel Coffee is recently-renovated with a lovely book wall that sells a wide array of titles. The store has a rustic look from the outside, including the wooden patio but inside it looks bright modern, even a little futuristic. My latte was good and service was courteous though not really warm, overall I enjoyed my stay. They are tip-free but the price tag does not include tax so it's still a bit expensive ($5.8 for an 8oz latte)."
"Ive read some of the reviews as I recently started working in the neiborhood, and my experiences was quite a bit different, I ordered a Carmel oatmilk latte to go, staff was super friendly, price was fair, and coffee was surprisingly good! A little sweet but the staff offered to add more espresso when making the drink, I prefer it sweet sooo 👍 I've paid more at top pot for a coffee that tasted watered down. This wasn't. No hate to top pot the staff is great but coffee could be better."
"Wonderful, off the beaten track, one on a quintessentially Seattle streets, with drinks you won't find at Starbucks. very friendly staff, not loud, shady..."
