What People Are Saying

from Google & Yelp

"This a cute little bar (and grocery) right next to La Medusa. I really enjoy the interior look with the pink. They just opened up and would be a good place to have a drink before going to dinner next door. This is definitely an Amaro bar. They do have a white and red wine available but overwhelming just Amaros and Fernets. The bits were nice. And the staff was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I just really wish there were more drink options that weren't Amaros. Hard to see this be a go-to spot without it having more wines available. They do sell bottles of wine through the grocery but it's a $20 corkage fee to drink those."

"What an amazing and cozy Amaro bar! We had a lovely time sampling various Amari in a variety of forms (with soda, over ice, in cocktails) and nibbling on delicious italian aperitivi snacks from the kitchen."

"Love this spot. Super unique, great space, and knowledgeable staff. Amari are fantastic and the food is really good as well. Only wish they were open week round!"

"Do you need to get some Italian imported bits and bobs? Need some olives? Need some little fishes? How about grabbing a few pieces of fresh veg? This place is a great add to Columbia City. Do some light "snack shopping." Sit and drink an Amaro. (They have some less traveled bottles.) Then go to the butcher nextdoor and pick up something for dinner or go to the bakery a few doors down to compete your snack hoard."

"An absolute gem of an amaro bar and Italian mercantile, set apart by the outstanding bar manager. The setting is cozy but still felt private, with an assortment of table, bar, and low chair seating scattered throughout. The ambiance is set appropriately with dimmed lights and vinyl on the stereo. Delicious small plates from the La Medusa kitchen complement the extensive (and initially intimidating) list of amaro aperitifs and digestifs. But the true star that will keep us coming back is the incredibly helpful and knowledgeable staff. I can’t recommend sitting at the bar enough, despite a completely full house we were offered individualized recommendations with tasting notes that evolved over several rounds, which made navigating the impressive inventory a breeze. The retail component was fairly priced, well-stocked, and gave us the opportunity to take one of our favorite bottles home."

"I came to this place to give them a try since it was close to my church and it's safe to say that this will be the last time I will go to get coffee. Don't..."
