from Google"Great staff, wonderful tea and coffee shop. They also serve wine, champagne and beers, a great cafe to work in or to meet up with old or new friends. Only cafe in Wallingford neighborhood open late. In the summertime there is a patio with tea lights and outdoor seating, very cozy and comfortable chairs, but no fireplace yet…it’s on my bingo card for 2026 hopefully. Not a far walk from stoneway or upwards from meridian playground park, which would be a great little day/date idea in the summertime or spring."
"Finally! A super cute cafe/market to get that midday fix. Need a tasty snack? ✅ Drink Sound Good? ✅ Coffee from a friendly barista? ✅ in a charming and pleasant atmosphere? ✅ this is your spot. Love the seating arrangement, the little grocery options, nice outdoor seating, great place to chill for a minute or hour."
"EDIT: I really didn't want to have to write this, but unfortunately the actions of MasterCard and Visa targeting the income streams of LGBTQ+ content creators mean that, by being cashless, this coffee house is complicit in discrimination and bigotry. Great coffee, all your coffeehouse favs. They recently got new breakfast sandwiches and I think they're an upgrade. This isn't a budget place, but it is good value for the money. Lots of pastries but their in-house lunch sandwiches are the highlight. I love the chill atmosphere here. It's a good place to decompress and it consistently has a small pax load, which is good for keeping the atmosphere but not so many that it feels rushed or crowded. Come early to get the extra comfy seats, or sit outside at the glazed wood table (once the heat wave ends, of course). The outdoor area is a bit loud because of traffic but that's out of their control, and the 44 trolleybuses are quieter than their diesel counterparts. The most annoying things outside are the trucks. As a result the outdoor area isn't that popular, but I like having the option. Come on Wednesday afternoons for a barista with some very nice music selections, they seem to be from the 60s and 70s, all downbeat. Also I love that tree mural on the wall opposite the entrance. I saw a lot of people working here, and if it were the school year I'd be coming here more often to do my schoolwork. The clientele is generally not too loud, and it's helped by the place having some separation for where they take orders. If you come here and are going to have a loud conversation, as a user, I beg you to go outside. The string lights get pretty at night but they're only open late enough for that effect in the winter. The main users of the outside space seem to be dog owners, as I saw a couple people sit outside with their dog while sipping a bottle of wine. At lunchtime do check out the cooler if you don't want coffee. They have some alcohol, soda, and kombucha. Also some snack selections, which are reasonably priced (but they do have premium snacks). They also have beer and wine on tap. I only saw one barista, and the barista was doing table service as well, but I came at a slow time. Penalized one star for being cashless, which is an equity concern. So not quite 5 stars. Overall: This is a premium coffeehouse with an atmosphere I adore. Also, whoever was picking the tunes on the Wednesday Afternoon I came, you're awesome, I'm just too socially awkward to ask your name lol."
"Chose Stone’s Throw for its location when in need of caffeine before a meeting and it far from disappointed. The barista was friendly, knowledgeable, and it was obvious he cared about his craft and his customer service. His co-worker was friendly too. Both were good conservationists. Our drinks were well made - I appreciated that my matcha was not overly sweet. The market part of Stone’s Throw consists of carefully curated products. Had we been in need, we’d have no doubt been enticed by several items. Next time we’re in the area, we’ll plan time to enjoy our drinks there. Stone’s Throw is one of the too few cafes to have adult furniture, as in comfortable chairs and well made tables. Also, there is a nice looking patio."
"Came here for a quick coffee and a sandwich. Love the amount of snacks and treats they have, sort of a mini market but with much better coffee. The staff were friendly, we had a little mix up with ringing me up for something but they were super accommodating. The cold brew i got was pretty good too and their prices are pretty awesome for Seattle in general."
