"This place is fantastic. I had the chicken and waffles ($17, I think) and it was huge! 5 big, fat, handmade chicken strips. The meat tasted like it had maybe soaked in butter milk? It was really juicy and the breading was light and crisp. The waffle was a big Belgian guy, all brown and perfect. The photo is after i've given up. Imma take the rest on my long, long, drive today. My partner had the Cajun Benedict ($19?), but on a biscuit for a reasonable upcharge. These biscuits, by the way, are tall, fluffy, and have a very tender crumb. I was not super into the Cajun flavor, but Bruce was down! It also came with chicken strips, and weirdly, only one poached egg, but the quantity of biscuit, chicken, and potatoes ensured that there would indeed be leftovers. The hollandaise is freshly made, no canned bs for this breakfast. You order at the counter and select your table. The women at the counter were really nice and efficient. They will give you this funny fake iPod looking things to call you when your food is ready. Remember to pick up your utensils. Water is available from the drink pick up station. We sat outside in the enclosed patio. Today is New Year's Eve, and chilly at 12:00 pm, but they had heaters out there and I was quite comfortable and the view of lake Washington is lovely. I'm, sadly, leaving Seattle today and I wish I found this place sooner. We went to Patty's Eggnest (also great) twice. I picked today and I would pick this place again tomorrow if I could. Go to Stonehouse, enjoy your chicken and waffles and be sure to bus your tables! Highly recommended breakfast/brunch/lunch place."

"Great brunch location with a free haunted house! We got this recommendation from a waitress at another restaurant who told us that they had the best chicken and waffles in Seattle. She was right! The chicken was moose and perfectly seasoned so that the maple syrup complimented it perfectly. The waffle was fluffy and perfect. Everything was perfect. We will be coming back. Also they have a pet friendly menu for your furry friends!"

"Ordered chipotle eggs benedict, blueberry pancakes, and grilled cheese and tomato soup. Food lacks flavor, it’s either salty or sweet. I couldn’t eat any of the tomato soup because it was so salty and the taste was odd. Of course, take it with a grain of salt, this is a subjective review."

"Great food and views of Lake Washington. The food is great and the portions are generously sized for the price. Recommend the chicken sandwich, BLT, with onion rings for lunch. Parking can be an issue so if you go then you likely need to park along street and walk. There's wonderful designs and decor through the inside and outside keeping a rustic atmosphere."

"Super cute and casual restaurant! Delicious breakfast, generous portions. Stonehouse cafe is a two story restaurant with a beautiful view of lake Washington. Walk up and place your order and pick up at the counter when your order is ready. It’s self seating and buss your own table. I really like the setup at this restaurant however it may not be for everyone. We came for brunch and I would love to return for dinner to try other menu items and their drinks as well ! I highly recommend The Stonehouse cafe !"
