"Last night as my hubby and I were dining at Silver City Brewery and scanning through google maps as we waited for our dinner, I came across Silvercity Latte; say what??? I was confused about why I had never seen a listing for this coffee place before; nonetheless, I wanted to find out where it was located and give them a try! It's a relatively simple location but not too visible from the road; I can't imagine how much business they miss out on being between Silverdale Way and Bucklin Hill Road and not being noticeable. I had the mindset of ordering a Nonfat Iced Latte, but as I drove up, I noticed their menu and saw Boba listed. I decided on a Boba Iced Latte; that specific drink is not a listing on their menu; I saw Espresso Bubble Tea and inquired about a Boba Iced Latte. After she explained what they usually add to it, and although sounding good, the amount of sweetness kept running through my mind. Hence, I asked if she would make it with no sweeteners, and she did. I also inquired about who they purchased their coffee from; apparently, it's through Dillanos. I recall Dillanos being a good coffee! I paid and was on my way! My first sip of the coffee was bold but smooth, with hints of chocolate, a little on the nutty side, and no harsh aftertaste. And had I not double-checked with the barista prior that I wanted it with no sweeteners, I would have sworn there was a little bit of add Hershey Chocolate in it. Now, about the Boba, the taste was there, but this Bobas textured was different from what I'm used to. This Boba seems a little denser and stickier, which I know is odd sounding because they all are sticky; still, this one was much chewier than previous Bobas I have had with other drinks. Would I consider it wrong? No, it isn't right or wrong, just different! For that said, I personally prefer less dense Boba. So, it was hard to rate this "drink" due to the amounts of ice they added for this size of a drink was a little much for a 12 oz, also the dense Boba threw me off, but the taste of the coffee was good, so it would have to be a 3.5 to a 4 stir stick rating. The barista was amiable and thanked me, but she wasn't what I would call talkative or super sociable. Silvercity Latte offers six different sizes on most (not all) of their drinks; prices seem about the same as in other places; they also provide a handful of snacks. "I have tried several stands in the area and I'm a local. This is my go to place for coffee and lotus. They are friendly. My drink is great most if not all the time. The only thing missing is probably great snacks or appealing display factor of them but over all great place for coffee and cold drinks."
