from Google"It's definitely a choice to be across the street from the hospital and to not be open late enough to service night shift as we come in, but I notice you guys open in time for day shift because yeah, of course, that's normal working hours for everyone else too. To be honest, I probably would have frequented this coffee shop more often in between the last time I went in and looking to go tonight. But honestly, the last time I went their coffee was just kind of okay there wasn't anything exciting on the menu, but then I heard that apparently they've kind of changed it up a little bit, and I thought, well, I'll give them another try especially because my power is out tonight and I couldn't make any coffee. Joke's on me. I guess I'm gonna have the saint Joe's special blend coffee straight from the carafe I'm gonna brew in the break room. I don't know if you guys were losing money staying open late enough for us to be able to get coffee and I don't know when you changed that. But I do remember stopping in for a cup one day before my shift probably closer back to when you guys first opened, it must've been. I mean, I'm a traveler so I don't really care whatever reasons in between then, I'm just saying either it wasn't working out for you guys for a wild reason, because I literally watch coffee cups from all the local shops pour in every single night, or you're literally missing a great cash opportunity parked right in front of you... Either way, you won't have my business again and it's definitely a choice considering there appears to be no competition within several blocks of you guys, which is rare out here in the PNW, I feel like. And just to preempt this, depending on what the owner types back in with, it was definitely on my way to work on my last visit because I otherwise am never in hilltop. Something to consider I'd think"
"Pretty good coffee, a little overpriced for the size though. I ordered a medium and it was $8 for the seasonal mocha. The barista was nice though, short line, and drink was good."
"I stumbled upon this adorable coffee shop while visiting from Texas! The baristas were super sweet & personable! My pumpkin iced latte was DELICIOUS!"
"DripHouse is by far the best coffee stand in Tacoma! I started drinking their coffee about a year and a half ago and I am a loyal customer. I go at least 2x a week or more when I’m working in Tacoma but I do drive from home which is about 15 mins away. I would be there daily if they were closer to me! If you are a coffee lover and enjoy the flavor of a dark and roasty espresso then you will love it here. I am OBSESSED. They take their coffee seriously and you get a consistent drink every time. My favorite drink is just an iced americano with some kind of flavored sweet cream cold foam on top - hazelnut, caramel, white chocolate, gingerbread - there are really so many options and you cannot go wrong! I also like their iced dirty chai - they blend it which makes it so cold and creamy. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I really like when my drink is cold throughout. If you know, you know! I love the owner and the baristas, they are all so sweet and genuinely kind. I always leave super happy with my drink and experience. I’ve seriously sent so many people to DripHouse (my sister, coworkers, friends) and they all love their coffees! Also to note - they sell their coffee beans for home which are perfect if you’re a home barista and want the experience for home."
