"Today I found myself in South Tacoma at Bluebeard Coffee Roasters. Bluebeard has several locations in the area. That they are roasters as well is an added plus. I ordered my usual, a cappuccino in a mug, a bit dry. While Bluebeard has all the pieces of a great coffee shop, the pieces don’t quite come together. It’s fair to say a dry cappuccino may more closely resemble a macchiato. I get it. And, that’s just what the barista handed me. I can roll with this. The macchiato was flavor forward, which I am always partial to. The roast was bold, again a plus, but a bit bitter for my liking. Overall, the environment and staff was what I’d expect in a great neighborhood coffee shop. The cappuccino, not quite there. "This was a lovely place. I got a triple shot oatmilk caramel vanilla latte and a lemon curd cruffin. The lemon curd cruffin was the best thing since sliced bread. There was lemon curd throughout the entire thing and the crust was buttery and soft. I definitely recommend it. The latte was sweet and delicious. Five stars all the way around."

"Great coffee place in South Tacoma! Typically one has to go to the North End to get this caliber of coffee. Had the bacon and egg brioche from 3Hearts and a latte with oatmilk. BTW, love the music selection too: playing creatures in Heaven by Glass Animals."

"I have to get five stars all around on the board. The place is clean. This is really important. And tells you how well they are going to handle your food. The atmosphere was amazing. It was upbeat and positive. The employees were so nice. Super friendly and happy to accommodate. I will definitely come again."

"Drinks are ok, I appreciate they have decent GF pastry items. I sometimes come here to work, the last two times the WiFi has been horribly slow. Can’t even check emails without delays. Come if you want a nice place on STW to read or meet with a friend. If you want to work, good luck - not sure why they even offer WiFi if it’s this slow."
