What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"It’s the perfect little haven for a beautiful cup of coffee and a cozy seat, where you can slip your laptop from your bag and let the world fade as you work, or simply bring along someone you love and linger over warm conversation and an even warmer cup."
"This is the only coffee place in our neighborhood, which is the only reason why we occasionally to come back. Every time we do, if we want to sit outside, we have to ask them to unlock the seats to have a table outside. The food and coffee are OK but it’s often not worth the half an hour wait. This could be such a great neighborhood place, but the service is lacking. We always feel like we’re bothering them. There’s a great outside area, but it’s often shut down or you have to ask them for access. Most of the time they’re not very happy about it. Dog bowls are empty and access to water is locked."
"Ok, I love a good coffee place! But let’s be honest there are a lot of them. In fact, in this town it seems like you can’t throw a stick without hitting one, that and maybe a Thai restaurant. So why would a weary traveler, a grizzled and decrepit adventurer choose Latte da over so many other choices? It’s true it’s charming, the quality of the drinks is excellent, the outside seating perfect, and the staff friendly and efficient. But is that enough? Does it call the wayfaring stranger back like the songs of sirens, sitting out on the rocks beckoning sailors? “Oh wait!” You say! “They have what?” Biscuits and gravy? They have biscuits and gravy and not only that, they were exceptional biscuits and gravy and that my friend, puts them squarely on the ever loving map! It’s like an excellent coffee shop and a great breakfast place got together and had a baby! I’m going to be honest, I’m a little bit like the proverbial shark, I have to keep moving forward or I die. As much as I might like a place, I tend to like trying new places better. It’s the thrill of the hunt, and there is always blood in the water. But even sharks have favorite spots where they love to hunt and anyplace that can produce excellent coffee paired with perfect biscuits and gravy goes on to the list. Plus it helps that Latte da feels like a strong part of the community. There is nothing cookie cutter here. It feels homey and eclectic. It has good community vibes. It’s a place where people go to talk about real things, where topics wander and the spirit heals."
"Wow on ambiance both inside and outside. Inside has vibe of more of the older house cafes you’d find in Portland. Love it! Outside feels like a garden patio. Great summertime dog friendly patio. They have a walk up window outside so you don’t have to worry about what to do with your pup while you order! Now for the quality of drinks and snacks, 5 stars across the board. My husband ordered the salted caramel mocha and he said it was scrumptious. It was served in a large ceramic mug, and I ordered a honey chai. That was absolutely delicious. We also ordered two snacks. The gluten-free peanut butter bar would never have guessed it was gluten-free because it was just soooo good. The salted caramel treat was also delectable. The only reason it’s four star is because the customer service was more like a two star experience. I would say being generous because everything else was completely on point otherwise this would be the most perfect café in Vancouver. For some reason the server was just generally grouchy, and a few of us tried to make her smile, but she was just determined to be unhappy apparently. She was working by herself and maybe was feeling a bit, overwhelmed at the end of a long day. We can’t wait to come back."
"These are the best smoothies in town. Coffee is also decent. What gets me is all of the up charges. 25 cents for a cup. A charge for a CUP. $1 for whipped cream. Space is cute, but super echo-y for working so it's better for just hanging out. Love the fire pit and the provided blankets."
"Three of us just breakfasted here for the first time. One places their order at a central spot, awaits completion of order, and takes to a table. Tables are..."
