"I love a good, local coffee shop. The Washougal location of Compass Coffee has been open a couple of months now (after transitioning from Washougal Coffee Company) and is consistently busy (often with a veeeerry long line) and it feels as though there aren't enough people on staff at any given time. 2 people is considered when it's not slammed, but it seems like 3 people are needed most of the time, given how busy they are. I've noticed a few times now that the owners(? managers?) will cut the entire line, place a huuuuge order to be made priority, not pay *or tip* their staff, and then just hang out in the shop. I'm not sure why they would do that? ...Aren't paying customers the priority? It has left a very bad taste in my mouth. Additionally, when it was still WCC, my partner and I could enjoy 2 beverages and pastries for $20 including tip. Now, with the same exact order, it comes out to $30 before tip. So, $10 more with a longer wait due to staffing and/or the managers skipping the line just feels...unfortunate. I will say, the holdover employees from WCC are literally the best. I'm really glad they stayed."

"I love this Coffee Shop, the environment is so warm and welcoming. Having Coffee on Main Street is also a huge plus! Austin has been brewing some of my favorite iced and hot coffee the last couple of years and he makes them perfect! 5 star for sure!"

"Super friendly staff with the warmest of welcomes. Cozy atmosphere and tasty drinks! My favorite right now is their single origin cappuccino or cold brew with some of their salted maple cold foam. It’s always exciting when new places open up and to see if they’ll be able to fill their predecessors shoes… compass coffee did just that and may need a size larger."

"Very lovely service. Atmosphere was welcoming although I do prefer the more rustic and cozy look of the former coffee place that this one took over. To be fair it does look like they are still in the process of decorating. The coffee wasn't as bold or strong as I had hoped; I ordered a white chocolate lavender 12oz iced with 3 shots of espresso breve style. The lavender was pleasantly strong but no other flavors seemed to come through. I'm hopeful to come back and try it again maybe with a larger size and a touch less lavender."

"I got the pumpkin cheesecake cold foam latte and it is one of the best coffees I have ever had. The espresso is so smooth and the cold foam is incredible!! The baristas were very sweet and the shop itself is so adorable! Will definitely be back"
